CPA tracking question - pixels not firing

When the user completes the offer, it "fires a pixel" which is when you get credited with the referal. When there are problems as you have described, the person submits the form, ad the pixel doesnt fire, therefore you lose out on the commission.

When involved in paid traffic (PPC, PPV etc) you can have a callback pixel installed on the offer page. When the user completes the offer you can then see what keywords/URLs work, therefore trim the fat from your campaigns.

From your other posts that ive seen, im pretty sure your into CL, therefore dont need to worry bout the callback pixel.

As for how long it should take to get fixed, this is between the CPA company and advertiser.

I would hold off sending any more traffic until you are told it is good to go.

Thanks for that explanation... I have the least technical knowledge of anyone
in the Western Hemisphere. My AM did tell me that I had XX amount of leads
from that campaign... not sure if he is just saying that to keep me happy or
there is an alternative way to track the leads.

So the fix has to come from the advertiser?

I have heard of this problem before though never encountered it myself. Personally I cannot see how sometimes it would work, and sometimes it wont, but it does seem to happen.

I am unsure as to how you would track the conversions coming from CL as I take it you are sending them staright to the offer page from an email.

I have used prosper 202 tracking (which is free) for tracking my keywords on PPC, but as I said, thats for paid advertisiing. I also know there are paid trackers out there, but cant think of any off hand.

The way I belive it works - The offer page will belong to the advertiser, and the CPA company will then have their tracking software installed. When completed by the user, the CPA company can track who completed it, giving you (the middleman) the commission, and the advertising comany get the details that they want.

So I think the problem lies with both of them, although im not too sure if its more one than the other. This is why id just wait until you are given the green light to send traffic again, as there is no point in sending more if you arent getting the commisssions you deserve.

In the CPA company offers you will see that it says "pixel will fire on page 1" or "pixel will fire on page 2" etc. This generally lets you know how much info the user has to fill in for you to get credited with the commission.

As you will probably know,
1 page = little info = small payout
2 page = more info = biggar payout
cc submit = hundreds of info = generally >$20 payouts

This particular offer, the pixel fires on page one and pays over 20.00 per (no CC required)... a rare bird but if I can get them to fix this problem, I am looking at an extra 1500.00 a week with costs in the 250.00 a week.

It is CL traffic but I don't personally post... I outsource it to a few guys
in Bangladesh that I found on GAF.

I have still to try CL, but know that it can be a goldmine for traffic. Also with all the PVA and IP issues, I just dont have the funds to set up a decent campaign. Living in canada at the moment as well, so I cant even post locally, as all the good campaigns that I have looked into are US traffic only.

Personally doing online/offline in the quest of recurring passive income, but like all things, its a lot of work up front!

I can create a bunch of craigslist accounts for free, i don't really see why people think it's hard at all/.
