I apologize if this question has already been asked before, but I couldn't find it. My question is: does the "free" version of copyscape in which you input your URL catch as much as the premium version does? I do a lot of rewriting, and I don't want to get burned by just using the free version. In anyone's experience, have there been any times where the paid version of copyscape picks up something that the free one doesn't? Thanks.

I don't know about comparing the free to the premium but I can tell you that I have used the premium version only to find that a free plagiarism checker found elsewhere found a copied article for me. You would think that the premium would be enough wouldn't you? I would suggest that you use the free version and just run the article through other free plagiarism checkers to be safe.

Hi.. I would vouch for the premium version for a few reasons... Firstly, apart from comparing the URL, you can check content even before you post it. It saves precious time, wasted on posting on a blog/website.

Premium comes with a text compare option to compare two unpublished articles too. Can be very useful for a large organization handling multiple writers. Also, you can build your own private index of information, wherein an article can be compared to previous versions of content you wrote.

It's a more comprehensive solution IMHO... Cheers.

As seoguru said, its worth trying the premium version. Infact if you are using tbs or any other copyscape integrated spinner this would save ample of time.

If you have a low budget and if you are new then go ahead with the previous version.

When you think of checking for duplicate both does the same.. Only the time is considered as a factor..

The easiest option is to copy all the sentences from an article and then paste them in google search...it will show the sentences in other sites in bold.

google only searches first 32 worlds. they best free copyscape alternative is plagium ( can't post links yet). try it, it will do your job very well.
