Copyright question

I'm about to create a website about anime, and promote it through white-hat SEO.

The site is going to have a lot of screenshots, quotes, information, etc. And, of course, I'm going to publish the anime episodes and manga chapters themselves.

I'm wondering if I'll have any copyright issues with that.

As I understand, the worst thing they would do to me is just write a complaint to Google, so Google would exclude those particular pages from the search. Am I right?

All in all, I'd just like to know about any copyright risks with this niche.

There are some sites functioning (at least it looks like it) without any issues, like cartooncrazy(.)tv.

Unfortunately, its the same way as any streaming website

I'd like to hear some details though.

I've done quite a bit of search here, and the opinions are ranging from "do that, no creator would bother with you" to "you'll go to the jail".

Posting some episodes doesn't seem really risky to me, but I've created this thread to know some details.

Am I fine if I don't post the episodes, but I post screenshots and other media?

What if I just embed the episodes from third-parties?

I mean for the quotes part and so on you are okay. But for the streaming episodes I think you will get reported as your are infringing copyrights,

What about streaming the episodes on a subdomain, so they don't report the main domain? Just a thought.

I think I'll just start with info, screenshots, etc.

I have an idea in mind to rank in the image search with screenshots and other pictures.

If I post any episodes, I would be very careful and would delete them on the first request from the copyright owner (from the legal perspective, I'm not even in their jurisdiction anyway).

So creating this thread helped me to collect my own thoughts. Thanks.
