Copyright on Youtube Music

hello, i would like to know if when i put a copyrighted song on my video, i can take some strike and lose the channel? I don't want to monetize the channel, but I need to use popular music and my only concern is whether I can have my channel excluded because of a third party's strike for music reasons.

I don't care if the copyright goes to the author, I just don't want to strike and lose the channel.

Guys, how can I check if song is blocked on youtube, without uploading the vid? So I could prevent using it? I'm fine with songs that can't be monetized, just don't want to have my vids blocked.
