Hi guys.

So as you may know my personal account was disabled due to a copyright strike. I was co-admin on a Facebook page a long time ago and posted some videos which I took from Twitter and Youtube. A month ago I got the notifications. I wasn't admin of the page anymore so couldn't delete anything and got blocked.

Now there's the possibilty to solve the problem with the companies, but I don't know what to say. I'm not a native English speaker. I just want to settle an agreement that if they withdraw the report, I'll let the content be deleted manually. Anyone here that can help me further? What should I say to possibly convince them?

Thanks!

we have the same problem..i was made a moderator of the page it said that its only temporary, are you totally block? or just temporary?

Well, why won't you contact those guys and try to explain your situation. Chances are they will listen as you've already been punished for your 'crime'. Just tell them you're not in control anymore.

I tried but it's hard to convince them. They don't seem to care and I think part of that is due to my English. Formal writing is much harder for someone that doesn't speak English natively.

Come on, I am not a native English speaker myself, and people don't really care about it most of the time. To be more convincing try to find out their phone number and call them to show you're really serious about it.

This will be my next step I think. Thanks!

This sound like blackmailing to me, so don't do it.
Why does that sound like blackmailing to you lol. I'm just telling them they dont need to worry that the content will remain.

Because you promise them that you will remove the content only if they withdraw the report. Either way, they can remove the content with Facebook's help without you.

The content's already removed automatically from Facebook right now.

Suppose your profile as moderator then it will not happen...What you say?

You can generate support ticket on Facebook. May be they will revert back in 48 hours..

Are these companies operating within your residing jurisdiction?

Facebook nowadays is run by bots. I won't ever get a response from them :(

I dont know. All the companies are from the US, and what I know is the US is much stricter when it comes to copyright.

Are you from the US? Aside from that, call them and explain the situation. Do they have any sensitive information relating to you? If you are in a foreign country proper process can get tricky.

I'm not from the US. I live in Europe. What do you mean with 'sensitive information'?

Do they have a way of contacting you? Identifying information. Physical address? Postal address?

Hmm, how are they communicating their displeasure with you right now? Via facebook messenger?

Mail. FB received the copyright notice and took down the video. They dont share personal details to the third party, unless I file a DCMA counter notice.

So the video is taken down which is what they wanted? I don't think they are going to pursue reparations unless you profited greatly from the video.
