HI ppl,

I have a niche blog that im putting very effort on it and its now a sort of authority site.

so, in some kw its with a good position in big G, and some competitores are copying some articles.

what I should do? Ask to them to delete the content or to put a "source" disclaimer with a do follow link?

tks

Did you know that google keeps track of who posted what first? This means that people who rip off your content won't get nearly as much rank as you will for the same content. This is what killed Ehow's ranking, actually.

If you want to file a DMCA, go ahead. However, just know it's not quite as painful as it sounds as long as you still come in on top for the same words.

File a DMCA with Google and protect your contents in future with plagiarism warning banners..

Its better to ask them to link to your original article. This way u will get more links and authority. If they refuse file a dmca with google and their hosting providers.

write to the owners, if it int helping write to the hosting providers and in the meanwhile file a DMCA take down request as many people mentioned above.

Tks to all. I'm writing to website owners asking for a link and learning about DMCA, if they dont reply I will try your sugestions.

You beat me to it. I was going to add that when other websites plagiarise your content (especially if they do it verbatim and don't even bother rewording the content), they'll more than likely be penalised by Google. Even if you don't file a DMCA, they'll be removed from the SERPs eventually.

DMCA filing? really? you talk shit.
I can easily create churn and burn websites and steal your content and you can take it down but I'll start 10 more of them with the very same content.

as for the answer to OP... talk to them (i had this problem but most of the time you can't do much).

you always see these kind of shits :) so don't worry. I suggest to you : don't think about them. just focus on your job. you don't have too much time for focusing on this shit :) leave it and working on your niche ;)

Some fools do these kind of things here often and it happens for many... Talk with them directly and warn them... And finally go for the DCMA... Never step back from your work.. Don't give chance for those fools to take advantage by your silence in work..

Did you know that you do not know what you are talking about. People rank duplicate content all the time with ease.
