Cop kills a college student for being sarcastic

The author of that article should be shot for using too much hyperbole.

This is the problem with society. Gun in face = shut your mouth. If he couldn't figure that out what's he doing in college. Just be quiet, deny, take the ticket, move on, and live to see another day. Such a waste of life.

This is my hometown. The University of the Incarnate Word is a shill for the military industrial complex. They have some kind of school for anti-terrorism, and some douchebag of a professor that goes on the radio every time the media wants to talk to someone that is in favor of waterboarding, going to war, invading another country, increasing the level of surveillance on the american people, etc... Anytime the government wants something, this guy bends over.

They have a big banner on the side of the University, facing the freeway. I've wanted to deface it for years. It has some obviously retarded, fucked-up thinking slogan such as "God Bless Our United States Coalition Forces" or something like that, the idea that "we" are all in favor of the international troops in general, and ours in particular. Most real people here distrust the blue-hat United Nations, one-world government movement, and when people start talking about that, the next subject is usually civil war and revolution.

I hear these dumbfucks on the a.m. radio. These are the people that believe that you can't pay too much in taxes in order to pay exorbitant salaries for overpaid law enforcement officers whose primary jobs is to harrass people for minor traffic issues, and use the Tarry Stop as an opportunity to run criminal background checks for unpaid fines, warrants, full search of the vehicle, and excuse to impound the vehicle, and to write as many tickets as possible in order to generate as much revenue as possible in order to pay the bloated salaries of the law enforcement officers, of which we already have too many.

I call these people "holster sniffers". The kind of people that have these overpaid agents of the state on a pedestal so high they can't see where their shit comes from, only where it lands. In this case, the shit landed on someone and killed him. The retards in this area cannot understand that by constantly massaging the blood-engorged sex organs of law enforcement at every opportunity, they've given them the impression that law enforcement can do whatever the fuck they want, whenever the fuck they want, to whoever the fuck they want, and there isn't shit anyone can do about it. And they would be about right on that, because that's the way it is.

Here's a bit about Officer Barney Fife, from one of the local papers:

Over the course of Carter's eight-year law career in Texas, he has held nine jobs at eight agencies, including two stints at the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, files kept by the state agency for licensing peace officers show.

He rarely was at an agency more than a year and his shortest job was for seven months as a reserve officer for the San Antonio Municipal Court Marshals Division. So far, the two years and seven months he's spent at UIW is the longest stretch of employment, the files show.

http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/local/article/UIW-police-officer-involved-in-fatal-shooting-5040968.php

Decoded, what this means is that Officer Fife is a wanna-be fuckup. They let him leave jobs as an alternative to having his fuck-up status documented. Maybe he's a drunk. Maybe he's a drug addict. (There have been active duty SAPD Police Officers that are hard-core heroin and cocaine addicts.) And getting a job at a University is about as plush of a Law Enforcement job as a wanna-be fuck-up cop can get. Parking enforcement. Open container. Loud music at 3 a.m. Officer Fife pulled his dead victim over off-campus. Right now they are busy sanitizing the details of the entire situation.

Just a couple of weeks ago, an SAPD officer flat-out raped a woman that he was supposed to be transporting to county jail, while in uniform, behind the squad car on the side of the road. Somehow, miraculously, the hard drive that was to have stored the recording of the incident was put into the vehicle "before it was formatted".

Anyone care to comment on why that's 1) proof that he destroyed the evidence and 2) proof that his command is trying to cover-up the evidence of his crime(s)?

Anyways, this is most disturbing. Unfortunately, for all their bluster and swagger, there is no real threat of civil war, revolutionary activity etc... coming from here. Too many military bases. Too many government employees. Too many parasites whose lives are completely dependent on the government's generosity. It makes the concept of freedom an illusion and revolution unthinkable. Anyone that wonders where all your economic opportunities have gone; they've gone south, some to Mexico, and some never even made it to the border.

umm why should he shut his mouth? why would the kid even think that a cop would shoot him just for speaking? The problem with society is cops like this piece of crap, not the kid.

I can't think of a witty remark, so I'll admit I could've worded that a bit better. Or not at all.

So what's the point youre trying to make with "so many people dying this year"? Without pulling any numbers out of my ass I'd think that annually there's more or less the same amount of people dying anyways.

Not exactly a good thing to get a clip emptied into you for speeding, but how sheltered life you have to live to be surprised of shit like this? Or maybe it's just that I'm so used to the corruption that I don't find it weird for a cop to come and rob you...

Wow, what the hell is the officer even open carrying that type of weapon. Wait !!!! That's a California Highway Patrol, not a Texas Campus cop.. Still sad. I deal with cops all the time, have had a few yelling and pushing matches. Never got shot, but it always crossed my mind. I admit when I'm wrong, but I wasn't...

Stupid ridiculous world we live in these days, getting worse by the hour. That's a shame...

The point I'm trying to make is that I was just a bit more ignorant the previous years in my life. I wasn't exposed to corruption as much as you were, so this type of thing surprises me. I meant that so many people are dying this year as a result of another person's doings.

But then again, I guess everyone is somehow connected to another's death... Such as spending tax money on war instead of caring for the poverty and researching in cancer.

Anyone heard of Kelly Thomas? 6 cops killed this 120lbs. homeless kid in Fullerton. Two cops are on trial now & Kelly's parents were brought in to cause doubt. His dad said "I don't know why I'm here 6 guys beat my son to death"

Apparently the dashboard camera had fallen off the officer's truck. I'm not one to be suspicious of cops because I feel they should get the benefit of the doubt. I mean their jobs are crazy as shit. You don't know the guy you are pulling over or cuffing, that person could pull a knife on you any second.

This is still no excuse to why a unarmed college student was shot to death for being pulled over. In Huffington Post, it seemed more like a resist to arrest was what had taken place, but of course who knows without video evidence and the way media can distort things. I still don't understand the point of college security having a semi automatic?

This whole story is fishy.

Wow a George Zimmerman on steroids. R.I.P kid.

Federal Law: Every SINGLE time a person in the pay of the government (Federal, State, County, Local) kills a citizen either in or out of the line of duty, and IMMEDIATE and FULL chemical analysis of the government employee's breath, urine and blood shall be taken and the report made public within 7 days.

Every SINGLE time a person in the pay of the government is arrested and taken into custody, for any reason, the same test shall be administered and the results made public. Any officer that fail to perform these tests, for any reason, shall have their employment immediately terminated, and shall forfeit all benefits and allowances including retirement income forever, and shall be forever unemployable by any government agency anywhere.

I've been doing some research this evening. The news reports have not yet started to come in, the people that knew Officer Fife personally are refusing to talk about his personal characteristics, details etc... but the "structure" is in place for an erratic, probably drug-addicted person that has managed to work in law enforcement for almost a decade.

Drug addicted law enforcement has reached epidemic proportions, and the future of our children is in jeopardy. Act now, before it's too late, and someone else dies. People shouldn't have to die because a Police Officer with a drug addiction needs help. Somewhere, a child sits alone, and is crying out in fear of being abandoned. Help that child now,and support the Drug Testing of Law Enforcement Act. The life you save could be the life of a child. Or a puppy.

this cop literally picked up & shoved a german shepard through a mans window, while his hands are up in surrender..

From the comment where they state that the kid says "Oh, you're gonna shoot me" it would seem at that point that the gun is already out and in his face. At that point it's been escalated, rights or not. I'm not arguing that the cop isn't wrong, because he is for doing this, I'm saying once its escalated you do what you can to diffuse the situation. Sometimes you just have to let it go. He didn't shut his mouth though, he kept speaking, and we see how that ended. Sometimes its best to just stay silent and let them do what they have to do. Like it or not the sad truth is you have a small chance of getting the 'right' when it comes to an argument with a cop.
