Continuous ups & downs in Google for 3 months

Can you tell me why the serp for my site is dancing every time. it reaches to 12th place with the desired page url but doesnt stay for a long time it sleeps to 21st / 22nd pages it can be within 3 days may be within 7 days. but I watched that when it sleeps to the 21 / 22 page it stands there with wrong urls which is not in the server. but in yahoo and bing it stays for a long period.

I have completely checked the site with XENU to find that sorts of pages but it also couldnt find anything like that.

Can you suggest what to do now.

How are your backlinks doing? Maybe competition is running some big SEO campaign and it is affecting you keyword SERPS.

backlinks are good in number and all are 1 way only. all the pages in the site are well cached in google.

For these same keywords other clients' sites (with fewer backlinks) are ranked in the first page and stays for a long time. those never slept.
