content spinning is BS? Matt Cutts says so

Yea, i'd rather put dupe content out there that people can read that shit they can't. I haven't had a problem with dupe content. Only on AC submissions of course.

that implies us ;) so is the case different for black hat and white hat pages?

rudyvise: do you have many blogs for a long time with dupe content and have no problems?

I have sites that have spinned content that are making me thousands every month for the last 3 years. They rank very well in G.

But it's high quality spin, not garbage. And they would pass G manual check.

How does Google know who the original content came from? And who was give the article legitimately and who has just scraped the entire article?

Look at the google SERP and see how Google gets fucked all over the place. This is bullshit, no way Google can tell if content is spinned or not. I don't believe it.

OK, let's think about it.

Matt Cutts is a Google employee.

How long would it take the big G to can the dude if he was really revealing trade secrets???

A guy at my former employer was fired within a day for giving the CEO's corporate email address to the local newspaper.

I am thinking that Matt is telling us exactly what Google wants us to believe.

Ya Matt Cutts spreads a lot of misinformation hoping to scare people, he does post some good info but most are Google scare tactics.

Yeah, a little more misinformation to create lazy marketers. Basically saying, go ahead and put that dupe content out so when our filters are finished we can cut you off.

What area 51?

Penalties for dupe content, oh no, we like it when you clog our engine with your crap, we want you to be rewarded for your efforts. You want the first page, you got it - just submit that same content to hundreds of directories and we'll fill the first page for you with that same article.

My take on the whole thing is spin the content to death... so that it is totally unreadable, total garbage! Then if your ad's are positioned well it will make your users want to click out as quick as possible. My garbage blogs convert at around 20+%

When I first read this a few days ago, I thought, "Yeah well he would say that", think it was just typical google spin etc. Which I think is probably the general opinion on here.

However my little brain has been ticking away while I haven't been thinking about, and I was wondering about long phrases. A lot of our content contains phrases etc. which are exactly what people search for so we rank well for them etc. However in a spun article these phrases are destroyed. What do you reckon.

I think I might try a test. Start 2 blogs on the same day and use plr on one and a spun copy of the same article on the other. Just to see which one makes more money from adsense.

If you spin it into gibberish, then you would not survive a manual review. Do you run adsense on it?
