content spinning is BS? Matt Cutts says so

I'm doing autoblogs with CC, earning on affiliate programs, i was considering buying wordpress write again, sacrificing readability of my texts for the sake of Google.

Now i read Matt Cutts seo of Google.

so do you think buying those spinning plugins is important if i make 20 big blogs using CC ?

If matt cutts says so i believe it .......matt cutts is very important

It is ridiculous what comes out of that mans mouth.

And duplicate content can rank, but usually not high enough.
And there is no real penalty in using duplicate content, its just that you won't rank high enough simply.

And they tell stories about a person with 2500 domains and he/she can't rank in google or yahoo, why would this person have bought so many domains if it did not workout for him?

Just do your own business, don't listen to what you need to do for them to pet you in the back, without your content they don't have anything to show up with. They have the right to clean there index from something they don't like, but they have no right to say you need to do this or that. But they sure think they do.

It looks like all Matt Cutts said was that he justified his quoted post (about not being penalized for having an original article and the printer-friendly version on the same site), and not to spread the article to too many sites (i.e. like 3 site per article, etc.).

One thing that he said that DID peak my interest was that when you jack someones, ahem, "spin" someone's article, to give them a trackback so they get a higher PR than you. Uhhh...hunh... A. Not on any of my pages :23:, and b. just goes to show you how important backlinks are.

So to answer your question, if you are going to get a spinner, try to get one that spins more readably. Wp-o-matic, Write Again, Autoblogged, and Caffeinated Content are some good ones. Three of those you can find right here on BHW. But if you're really worried about quality, consider having an auto poster get articles from a site that you manually upload ones to spun by Word Flood (which is also on here).

Well content spinning is a problem with google. But i dont think so its a problem if you pass the copyscape or your indexed article is nt similiar to the other one...
Think abt this correct gramatical sentences also do not make sense, and sometimes incorrect gramatical sentences are able to convey the message....

So i think we all need some more clarity

I don't now for sure that that's the case, but I do believe that people who find what he says blindly are doing exactly what he wants them to do.

Just my 2 cents, but

1) I have found that content spinning, provided it is not gibberish, is fine.

2) I sometimes think that Matt Cutts is a shill, and tend to agree that you should do do exactly the opposite of what he says.

If your fuzzy math really can't do anything about GOOD content spinning, you are left with users making choices (the high school pep rally approach, or user based algorithms as they like to say) or mind games. The mere threat of something is enough to deter many. Case in point, the whiz quiz. How that reflects what you do while on the job is beyond me, but that's another debate.

Google, while they try to come off as a bastion of altruism is a for profit company. Don't be fooled by their granola head friends with everyone demeanor. You will become their roadkill without hesitation ANY time you threaten their bottom line.

Frankly, I wouldn't believe a thing Cutts and his Cuttlets utter except maybe that the sky is sometimes blue.

matt cutts is Joseph Goebbels, the Propaganda Minister for google. Social engineering noob webmasters is his sole purpose.

So true!!! There are so many webmasters who believe that because Cutts said it, it is the gospel.

Personally, I think it is just misdirection designed to hide the flaws of their system and fool people into believing Big G's algorithm is more powerful than it actually is
