Hi, I was wondering if content locking is still profitable compared to a CPL relevant offer for organic traffic specifically, I saw that CPALead and other networks gave up this functionality. Is content locking "dead" and is it worth to use it in 2023 ?

It's not dead for sure, I still do content locking.

Many extremely unethical BHtter still make money by content locking fake game hacks, fake game points, fake freebies etc

I also did content locking some time ago. But the problem is always that you might only get a couple of cent per conversion depending on the traffic and offer.

I would say it's only greyhat , Don't think it's BH.

Regarding it working , I think you would be better off trying a direct offer on the same niche. For example , there are SOI or pin submit offers that have the theme of Fortnite or other games, and you can try to send the user to this page directly , rather than making a locker and making them do offers that have no relevance to the game. All the best.

People still do that? I was involved with that 2008-13.

You can set up your own custom locker pretty simply with the postback if your preferred network doesn’t enable. Though I suspect they backed away because of the quality of leads brought by these lockers.

Yes, people still do that but you honestly need a lot of traffic in my experience to get a decent return of a couple tousand a month from it. Anyhting else like micotrageting will give a couple of cents. Was that always like that with content locking? You have sarted with it way earlier than I did
