Can I pull the content I have of a site that is not performing the best, close that site and put it onto a new start up site? And maybe point some of my old web 2.0's from that old site to the new site?

    thanks

Not now, mate. If you're putting in a redirect, it should be ok. But when Google is nitpicky over content, why would you want to start a site with content which will be flagged as 'copied'?

Make google to deindex the old site (Use webmaster tools) then use the content for your new site

Try build (new) 100 per cent original text. My experience is that G didn't recognize copied text every time.
