Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather odds

People are betting with their hearts and not their brain. I have not placed a bet yet but if people keep betting on McGregor coming fight night Mayweather might be -200 or close to it. If that's the case, I'm definitely going to put at least 2k on Mayweather

I actually did an episode on my sports podcast on this fight. I won't put the link in here as I don't think I'm allowed...but this fight is 100% supposed to go to Floyd. He's only really been hit a handful of times in 49 fights...by professional boxers. He's a magician at defensive boxing. Conor has size and age on his side. Floyd has been out of the ring for two years. But he just doesn't get hit. While I love Conor and want him to win more than anything....I think if it goes past 4-5 rds, he is not going to be able to hang. He's going to gas out after swinging at air. He has to knock him out early if he's going to win. That said...there's always a "puncher's chance"....but will he connect?

If I'm placing bets on the fight it has to be Floyd. But with the odds....is it even worth it?

Mayweather wins by ko - 2nd round
 
Here is the deal guys. Floyd is 41 years old, has been retired, doesn't look to be in shape, isn't really focused on the fight, doesn't care if he wins or not (he is already very rich)

McGregor: Young, hungry, in tip top condition, working out hard, desires to win the fight. However, he never fought in a boxing ring. Still I`m going for him!!
 
I don't know why but I keep thinking about Rocky vs Mason where Mason wins by Jury and Rocky goes away still being a legend

Veryyy hard to predict. Well I'd normally say Floyd tbh.
 
Probably Mcgreggor since the odds are higher and he's a dark horse thrown into something that can end in one swing. Also, it's just too boring betting on the safe bet in a special event like this.
 
Anyone betting against Mayweather is mentally ill.
 
There are two camps. The ones who are betting for ROI, and the ones who are betting on their emotion. Logically, Mayweather is a favorite. He might as well be standing on the top of a mountain. He knows the war of attrition intimately. McGreggor is a loud, explosive burst, kind of fighter. He wins via submission, and harder weapons. Read:not 20oz gloves.

Were I to bet, I'd put money on mcgreggor, simply because the odds are stacked so far against him. Do I think he has a chance in winning? Not in a thousand years of UFC.

Those who say he has no chance are raging mayweather fan boys who would love nothing more than to deepthroat the bellend

The fight is not fixed. After Mayweather destroys McGregor, he will say it was not fair for Connor to fight in the ring, so now we will fight again in the Octagon. Then they will make another $500 mil

CM started as a boxer, he has very fast hands and power, he can stand his own in a boxing match, FM will never enter the octagon, he is too old to learn another discipline and he would be destroyed, his body is not made for receiving kicks, knees and elbows.

If not a ko by round 2 then it will go the distance and mayweather will do what he always does. No way Conor is ever going to beat the greatest defense boxer in history. If this was reversed Conor would win in under 30 seconds in the Octagon.

Now the real question is where to catch the stream!

The only way FM is going to win is on points.

But you forget one thing, CM started with boxing, he is a champion in the best division in MMA, he was a champion in different MMA sports, he has beaten BJJ champions, karate champions, Wrestler champions, he is the better all-round fighter.

Were he to fight a young FM he would have no chance but as it stands now, CM is a skilled and smart fighter, he is more motivated, he has better reach, is taller, is stronger, faster and moves very orthodox. Standing he has never been defeated. have you ever seen how Jose Aldo fought in the past? This guy was a beast! 10 years the champ! KO'ed in 13 seconds..

FM is only in for the money, is older, slower, less power and motivated for the wrong reasons. Now am I saying like a lot of people that CM will KO FM in the first rounds, I highly doubt it but CM has more chance in the boxing ring than FM in the octagon.

He is going to get out boxed and knocked out.

And yet Nate says FM should not underestimate him ;) Against a young FM he would have had no chance, this one, a chance.

And saying FM will KO CM... not going to happen, he has no KO power and hasn't ko'ed anyone in 20 years, CM has NEVER been KO'd. The gloves are down to 8Oz now, FM better watch out he doesn't walk into a couple of punches from CM or he will be the one hitting the canvas.

But as I said, as soon as FM feels the power of CM he will go play his old game and win as usual, on points.
