Hi BHW,

I'm currently embarking on an Amazon journey and wanted to ask two thing which I could not seem to find in the threads I have read, also doing a few Google searches - Hope someone can help:

1. When conducting keyword research and using Google keyword planner do you adjust the settings to a specific country you would like to target, or do you set it to "all locations"? IMO if it's set to all locations and the search volume is from a country that doesn't really use Amazon wouldn't that affect your conversions and such?

2. When applying as affiliate on Amazon.com would you still get the commission if someone purchased an item from another country such as the UK?

Thanks in advance :)

1. For example, if your site is in English, select English-speaking countries only

2.No, you won't. Amazon.com is for US only. To get commission from Amazon UK, you need to register as a affiliate of Amazon.co.uk and localize to get maximum profit. Each Amazon site runs independently.

Thanks for the reply vikiendu. wouldn't it be worth just selecting the country as well? because say for example the search volume is only from the UK but you have not registered as an affiliate with .co.uk account, wouldn't you be wasting your time?
