Hey guys. I'm completely new to web marketing and that's why I came to this forum. I've been researching A LOT thanks to the peeked interest from some of the success stories on this forum. I would really like to make a website on blogger or something and use adsense. Is this the best place for a noob to start? I'm only looking to make $10-$20 a day while I learn the ropes, and I know no one is going to come on this forum and just throw million dollar ideas at me, but it'd be really appreciated if someone could help me get my wheels rolling. I've read so many great ideas I just don't know where to start. Please help me out, it's very appreciated:D I feel very intrigued and challenged by adsense and I see huge opportunities. I hope after I learn the ropes I can get around 20-30 websites up and make $300-$600 <-- way in the future, I don't expect to come here and get rich intantly, but I am willing to try my hardest and chase this goal until it's reached. Thank you in advance for the help guys!

Here's a tip that I've learned from lurking around these forums. Although I might not be the right one to give you advice (Since I haven't exactly taken it myself) but instead of making a thread like this, look at everyone else's advice, their journeys, and how they make money. Just keep looking around until one method catches your attention and EXECUTE. That's the most important part that I've still been too scared to try. The most important thing you can do is try it, if you fail, you used your money to learn your lesson, don't execute that method this way. And never give up :p every dollar lost is a dollar well-spent on knowledge for you to become a smarter IMer

Good luck on your Journey and welcome to BHW

This is definitely the best forum for IM because there is so much knowledge floating around and the people rock. The best advice I can give you is go to the IM journey threads and just read until your eyes fall out. That is what helped me begin in IM. No one is going to be able to tell you what to do for you to get your money, so go experiment after you gain knowledge.

I agree I probably didn't need to make the thread, due to the mass amounts of other threads just like mine, but I have been lurking and I just thought maybe I should get my name out there and conversate a bit and see what I can learn from the community before I "execute" (I am also quite scared of this;P)

I second what TheUnicow said, this forum is filled with great knowledge. You just need to search and you'll find it.

Well now i'm not that new but gave up for a while and returned myself and made £700 this month. not off adsense 20 to 30 websites sounds like a pain why not have say 10 that are really good and make money i tryed 30 sites at one time and it worked kind of. Chose a niche that you know a little about easy er to research it. Then do a couple of blog posts a day. £20 a day you might find a better method than adsense. The biggest lesson i learnt don't really on one method to make an income Have a few hope this helps a little

The parts that you do not know this forum is great helped me a lot then on top of the things that you learn try them you can only get them wrong. Me i just learnt myself from mistakes. One other thing when you design a site or a blog think how if the internet was not there how it would make money then take that and use it on the web. One of the hardest parts i think when you are on a site like this is just choosing the right way or the right read i don't think there is one. try about maybee 4 things then record the results the one that works keeping working at that. You will get it if you keep trying.

WOW, I was going to make a very similar post myself today.
I am in the same boat as kman, been lurking and reading for a few weeks. Have learnt a LOT, but still don't have a clear direction which way to go.
I will keep reading and taking down notes as I go.

One question though, I read a LOT about people using wordpress, would I use this as a substitute as apposed to building my own website, or does wordpress have other benefits in some areas instead of building my own site.

THANKS to everyone who contributes, even some of the smallest comments have some sort of value to them.

    Wylie

Blogs are useful and can work as web sites 75% of your seo is done for you for starting i would use a blog i found blogs easier for setting writing loads information quick no fuss and had a business up and running in about two weeks with it and got page rank 3 in about six month the only major problem i ran into with my blog was canonical links and duplicate content problems.
