Competitor trying to rank for company name

Hi Everyone,

One of my competitors is trying to outrank me for the company brand name (trademarked) that I work for. I know it's against google TOS to bid on search trade marked keywords for competitor terms but is it against their TOS to outrank a competitor in the natural results for a branded keyword?

Would appreciate all feedback. Thanks for taking the time to read this post!

If your competitor uses link spam, article spinning or blog/forum spamming or other non acceptabole (not natural) link gaining methods, you may report it for google. If its obvious, he will get a few position punishment for the keyterms and in worst case gets his sitre removed from google index.

I have to say, im not that good with trademarks but as far im aware of trademarks.

A trademark is not automatically valid for whole world, only for the country or countries you purchased for. Regardless of legal things, it's very rude indeed to use other's trademark to outrank his brand.

If he violate google's ToS, im sure you can fix this issue by reporting.
 
if your site is the official site for the company then it will always be at number one even if it has no backlinks
Google place the official site at #1 for its name

no. I know this from experience. I worked for a company that had a pretty common name (lets say ABC Consulting), and they wanted to take the first position in google for the company name as a prestige thing. It was hard to achive as the first result's domain was older, and had the full name in it, and had a lot of backlinks, but still we could outrank them. it took about 5-6 months.
 
stop crying for that. i am facing same problem. got a brand and others are ranking for that.
try ranking yourself for those keywords . complaining to big g will do nothing as i tried that. no profits.
yuo are saying, that you the main brand so you should rank faster ,if you are really concern towards this issue then spend $$$$ for ranking for all of your keywords..
its a natural thing and happen with many companies.

I'm not crying about anything, I'm simply asking questions so I can do exactly that. If it turned out a competitor couldn't outrank me for our brand then it's one less thing to worry about. Knowing that they can means I can create a plan it's as simple as that.
