Hi,
We have a competitor who is not adding any new backlink from few months and still came to first page last month.
When i checked found only 2 websites like pbn that have 3 4 article and in articles no contextual backlink but only image embed backlink to that site.

Images are not uploaded to pbn but directly fetched from money website.

Is it because of image embedded directly from money site ranking that website without any contextual link. And nobody(ahref, moz...) able to detect backlink profile.

Embed images straight from the money site to the PBN?

Hmmm that''s pretty slick. I am definitely interested in hearing from the more experienced hands on this one.
 
May be there are still more pbn links that you can not see.

Those links are boosting ranking.
 
I think most other pbns are direct links and just have been stealthed.

But has anybody ever tested the impact of picture embeds alone? Might that be a thing?
 
I managed to find a lot of competitor's pbn links using Ubersuggest from Neil Patel so give it a try. Also, i saw that type of pbn sites but do not know how efficient they are .
 
Try backlink crawlers those are not very popular and get surprised :D

It's an absolute waste of time trying to figure out a competitor's PBN especially via Ahrefs or othet tools.

If you find out the PBNs what will you do? Report to Google? Contact PBN seller to render their service to you? Or what exactly?

Personally, I see it as a waste of time. Build your own site well enough, then if you've gotten to the stage where you feel everything is right it's only backlinks that's lacking(i.e preventing you from ranking) then go for it.


Trying to figure out a competitor's PBN is like trying to figure out how much your neighbor has in his bank account.

Yeah but neighbour is not competing with you but here he is competing with another website. So sometimes it does make sense to see what is it that your competitor is doing right to get money in his bank account :p

Anyone who's been doing SEO for a while should know that if your competitor's powerful links are not visible to ahrefs(and/or other tools) and the niche is difficult certainly they're using a PBN. No need looking for something you already know.

Spend that time building quality links and maybe look for quality PBN as well.
 
yeah, did you check their backlinks with different platforms/ methods?
Think that thoose PBN has veeeeery gooood tiered links + they should have more PBNs

The image embeds is not a good idea in my experience, and at a certain scale would seem to be a pretty solid footprint.

Not exactly, duckduckgo search engine was built because they found google to be using too much data of users and that was their USP. You can always learn from your competitors.
 
can be many reasons why that site ranks. doesnt have to be a PBN, but if it is, its probably hidden from ahrefs etc as others already said.
the image embedds shouldnt be the reason, that would only help to rank on google images maybe i would guess.
