Companies with worst customer service?

I second Sprint and AT&T. And I'm going to add DirecTV to that.

I realize that AT&T bought out DirecTV but that caused problems for us. We were supposed to be out of our contract in June of this year. We called and tried to cancel but DirecTV told us our contract wasn't up until September. We knew they were lying because we still had the very first bill they sent us. But my parents told me not to argue with them and we'll just keep it until September.

I called the day after our cancellation date (September 9th) and told them to cancel it. They lied again and said our contract wasn't up until November. So I went off on them. I raised such hell that they hung up on me like four times. I just kept calling back and screaming at whoever picked up the phone.

After about an hour of screaming and talking to supervisors, someone told me that we could keep it month to month at a discount and cancel it at any time. I was going to cancel it but my dad told me not to because he wanted to watch football.

I mean seriously? You just keep adding months onto my contract like I don't know that you're doing it? Unfortunately our cable company sucks ass (we have Comcast) and we had Dish before. They are infinitely worse.

I agree that the big companies have the worst customer service. It's because they know that they have so many customers they can basically treat everyone like shit and it won't effect their bottom line. Assholes.

SiteLock - rarely answer their live chat on their website. Also just a bad, bad company to do business with.

It's a shame that customer service overall is so bad. Comcast gets my vote as the worst that I've had to deal with! I finally got so fed up I sent an email to their VP of Customer Service. To my surprise, I received a call that day from someone in their Corporate Escalation Group, and was finally able to get my issue resolved.

24 Hour Fitness. What a bunch of salty people in their CS department.

I have been going there for 8 years and they decided to double up on my annual dues. I had signed up when I moved here under their contract promotion where I purchased 3 years of membership then it would be only $99 per year thereafter for life.

I wasn't nearly as versed in contracts as I am now, so I didn't sit there and read the entirety of the paperwork as I wanted to go get my lift on. Whoops! That was a "verbal promise" which they of course don't honor for shit. I didn't get heated until the last Supervisor basically said we don't value your loyalty. Stellar business model!

The best part of it is how they said the increases are going to help our clubs be improved. By improvements, I guess they mean more broken machines (Cardio), and increase of Sales Staff to up their Personal Training numbers.

In the end I sucked it up and paid for it as it is still under market rate for a gym membership, it's 5 minutes from the house and it is open 24 hours a day. Such is life.

TL:dr - Read the fucking contract.

THE ALL TIME KINGS OF BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ARE COMCAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think they even had #1 on the "official" list of bad customer service

I've always heard about bad customer experiences with Comcast. I was a customer for 2 years and never had any problems with their support team. That doesn't mean my internet service was phenomenal by any means but it wasn't terrible either.

Exact Target - in my opinion worse than an Israeli call centre. And surprising considering they are Anglo - American. Just to give you a taster - imagine long hold times (maybe 1-2hours, no joke), clueless support guys, no responses to support ticket system, no account manager and no reply to emails. Really shocking. And all of this from an account holder that was paying them $45,000 per year. When we decided to shut down the account suddenly they were on the charm offensive. really - along with one of the worst platforms on the market their customer services was worse than a bank or mobile phone company

comcast is annually regarded as one of the worst in the country. You almost have to try to be that bad

Livejournal

Vodafone are terrible, they overcharge on bills, promise callback my which never materialise, then have not record of conversations.
