Commenting on YouTube with Links?

Has anyone done research on when/how YouTube allows or blocks accounts from posting links? I haven't done any link posting on YouTube in *yeeaarrs* and back then you could spam it to death. Now it doesn't look like my 8 year old personal YT account can post a (normal) link!

You can still comment links on videos but they will give you a cooldown if you post too quickly, so take your time with it. Also you can’t post links on livestreams so keep that in mind as well

Use multiple accounts for this and you should do fine.

Yeah, I've seen people leaving comments on videos with links, but every account I've tried hasn't worked.

And I haven't been posting multiple comments... literally, attempted 1 or 2 per acc when I noticed that the first comment didn't show up cross-browser.

That depends on link and channel's settings. Change the link and videos/channel you are posting under.

As tubeboost wrote, each channel owner decides whether to enable links in comments or not. Even if the channel allows it, there are still some spammy links that YouTube holds for manual review by the owner.

Youtube has been update their algorithm so now its been bit difficult to post with a link that unknown sources.

happens in a lot of websites. Links can be spam and YT has patched a lot of these things to avoid spammy links
