Follow me Black Hatters on this journey to $330 a day.

I started a new journey a week or so a go, though the plan has evolved and changed so much over the last 7 days that I thought it would be best to start a new one.

Basically, this journey thread will chart my progress as I look to create an online income stream totalling $330 a day. I haven't specifically laid out the method in the thread title for a simple reason - I don't yet know how exactly I will get to that daily figure, and it may well not come from a single source.

A little about my current experience. I'm not completely new to this game - I have been selling my own product online now for around 18 months. The product is INCREDIBLY niche, and as such their is limited upside. This is generating around $220 a month. Chicken feed really, though I intend to reinvest this chicken feed back into this business.

Now that I have achieved that in a market which at best serves around 200 people, I thought that it would make sense to see if the same principles will work in the mass market.

I will be using BassTrackerBoats method of using a news site as an intemediary step between facebook and the offer.

I will have an amazon affiliate store which will be the subject on one of the news articles. Other articles will link to affiliate products to catch those that fall inbetween the cracks.

I have this planned out - taking really good notes and I have a constantly updating checklist of tasks on my whiteboard.

PROGRESS SO FAR:
16 Articles published on news site: copies
domain purchased: $10
Hosting: (already purchased though for one site around $1/month)
WP Theme: $70
Logo etc designed: self

TO DO THIS WEEK:

Research application process for Amazon Affiliates
Purchase Amazon Affiliate e-store theme
Publish ten more articles on site.
'Level up' 10 PVA facebook accounts. I have sim cards :)

Why you spend 1$ on hosting and 70$ on a theme? I'd design myself/use a free theme(there's few cool ones from reputable sources or some top member on the download section of BHW sharing their purchases) and spend 70$ on hosting..

I dont spend $1 on hosting, that is just a portion of my total hosting spend. I'll scale it as and when traffic demands. I think my host will auto scale if required, though I'll check into that. Working with free themes was taking forever - made a purchase and I got my site exactly how I wanted it in an hour or two. I don't have unlimited time to devote to this project, so I'll happily invest in some timesaving if I need to.

I haven't really begun my 'deep dive' into amazon marketing yet - thanks for the heads up I'll check it out. Have you used it yourself?
Yes I have with many stores, it's easy to set up although I preferred to add products manually, but that is just one option.

If you think you can post your affilite site to fb group and make 330$ a day. You will be disappointed. Cause nowaday fb group is not like before and sure you will get very less traffics from fb group.

Try reading a little, I said in the original post that I didn't list a specific method in the title because I dont know for certain where the traffic will come from. fb is the first method that I'm committing to.

Best of luck for the journey.

Im with ya.... The rhyming title hooked me.

Thank you both!

Not much to update at the moment. Unfortunately my day job is hell at the moment so that is taking up most of my focus.

Ultimate monthly Earning Goal: $10,000
Goal #1: $500
Current Monthly Earnings: $200
To Goal #1: $300

I've made an attempt to maximise earnings from an existing website before launching my first one. It wont delay me though because, really good news - my wife has agreed to help me with both websites. Because of my day job, I'm contractually obligated to not run side businesses - this means that she can officially run the business which is just perfect. Her income after childcare is around $500 (part time) so it shouldn't take too long to get that replaced. By my calculations that's about $17 a day - I guess that is my first target - recorded above.

I have the sim cards to start setting up some facebook accounts - maybe this is analysis paralysis, though to set up a long term business I'm just not sure that using facebook like this is going to create a great long term solution. I might experiment and see how much short term traffic I can get and take it from there.

My wife is pretty certain that we should use affiliate marketing with products that we know a lot about. Luckily we met through a particular hobby and we think we might be able to build some content around that. Right now I'm think about using a traditional rank and bank method, and whilst waiting for a decent google ranking using facebook to generate some leads. We're leaning towards an amazon website at the moment. Anyone have any experience launching an Amazon Affiliate site from 0 to $$$$?

My wife and I had our first sit down today to make a plan of action, conduct niche and keyword research as well as choose a domain etc.

This might lead to a bit of an audible. After a bit of niche research we found an area that doesn't lend itself well to the amazon affiliate monitization method, but could work really well for adwords - the suggested cpc value is over $20 for quite a few keywords in our chosen area. We need to complete some competition analysis to see how likely we can rank for those. Does someone have any tips, or a forum post to point towards in terms of competition analysis? No worries if not, I'm sure I'll find something in the BHW archives.

It isn't a niche that I am particurlarly wild about - we decided against following the hobby idea, the numbers just didnt make sense. Instead we are going for something related to my wife's profession - she is sure that she can generate a good quality article a day, so we will focus on that.

The more I think about this idea, the more certain I become that the core competency is SEO - figure that out, and the rest becomes a bit of a doddle in almost any chosen niche.
