Cold emails should be simple

1. setup correctly. This would be all dns, FBL’s, postmaster requests, whitelisting requests, etc.
2. don’t use dodgy email lists
3. don’t send dodgy looking emails
4. use a seed list of email addresses you have access to to be able to engage with your email sending in the beginning. I use a service called InboxAlly..
5. Send slowly, increasing your sends by about 50% every 48 hours, unless your inboxing shows problems, then stop at the level. Try and send at the same time each send.

off the top of my head, I would recommend those as being at least in the top 10.


oh, and promising 100% inbox delivery is impossible, despite a certain person on BHW claiming this, lol

It's not a bad email. I've sent a similar one to about 15 manually selected companies, and 2 of them replied (one thanked me but said they were not interested, the other one asked me to call them, but then I didn't make the sale because they had a competitor offering the same service). Not that bad.

You have to understand though that we're saying it from our POV - we can spot a spammy email like that from a mile off, but people who have never worked in Internet Marketing may well see it as fine.

Yeah, I wouldn't reply to an email like that either, but companies who know nothing about IM might.

You also have to realize businesses receive these emails 50x a day.

It’s saturated. You have to stand out. Refer to my last post. Out of 150emails sent in a day, I’d have 10 ready to hop on a call.

I do like your method where the first email you send is not selling them anything. The business thinks you might be a client, so reach out quickly with a reply back to you.

But what about the millions of autoresponders you get back, before having to filter them out and then replying with this pitch?

it can be like that, but I view it more as I’m trying to figure out crucial information About their business that would help me out to know to better help them

If you get auto response it sounds like the quality of your list is to blame.

Cold email is not outdated, at all. This how I make a really nice amount of money working only 3 days / week and travelling (actually in Tenerife, Canary Islands)

But deliverability is getting harder, for sure, that's the trickiest part.

For example, now, having your email "reported as spam" hurts a lot more your deliverability / reputation than before.

But once you know how the game works, that's not a problem. And now, there are nice tools that give a lot of help.

Here's my 7 most effective techniques / tools that help me get >70% open rate on average after 5 years of intensive cold emailing.

1. The golden rule is to have a human behavior.
2. Send from Gmail / G suite accounts
3. Don't send more than 200 / 300 emails or max 500 per email address / domain per day.
4. Have a delay between each email sent
5. Have an unsubscribe link (yes, have it. I've tested it on large data sets. If you don't have an easy way of unsubscribing > "report as spam")
6. Use a warm up software to help increase / maintain your deliverability. Typically it helps compensate the spam reports you'll get. (to use before sending campaigns AND during the campaigns to balance) => Mailreach is the one that always gives me the best results.
7. Get good quality lists. For B2B, LinkedIn is definitely the best because it's 90% up to date. Personally, I use Apollo and Snov.io.

seems the same happen on another forum with mailrich tool, so I prefer bring feedbacks on tools we know & use to avoid bad behaviour! I recommend to use also a lot of tools on others topics, I'm a tool lover!

Think out side of the box, or think like the person ho get a email from you. its good for traffic, youtube views. its facking hard to get anny sales.

thats why you have your own seed list, or use programs like glockapps and mail-tester to test your email.

You don't export from Sales Nav, you export from Apollo who has all the data ready for you be exported.
