Need a few more details about this to advise.

Depends mate... you would have to buy a second hand one to make it profitable in my opinion and it should also have to go into a profitable area such as an airport or shopping centre (anywhere there is a large amount of people). It also depends which country as in the US more people would drink coffee than in the UK where it would be Tea.

In US more people will go to coffe shop

In the vending machine business you usually want a variety of machines as opposed to just one machine as you rarely see just one machine in a decent spot.

A coffee vending machine, which puts out barely drinkable coffee (in my opinion), is always situated with other machines and is usually in very good locations.

You could get away with candy machines perhaps as a stand alone, or even soda machines as a stand alone, but if you are going to be in the coffee vending business, you'll need some diversity.

Also, expect to pay a good buck for someone to place the machines for you unless you have some skills there.

I would not touch that myself but if I were to get back into the coffee business on any level it would be an office coffee service where would be offering a much better product.

You'd be surprised how much coffee we drink these days :-)

Haha, I'm from he UK as well but I still think we drink a cuppa more than we do coffee ;)
That being said we are starting to see more Starbucks and costa's around

I saw some vending machines in UK which produce coffee, tea, hot chocolate, orange juice etc. All in one.

if in office you get lazy people who dont care for quality and keep buying even if bad coffee

A lot of what makes a vending machine profitable is foot traffic, quality of product, and competition. Does where you want to put it have a lot of high quality coffees near it? etc. Those are the questions that I would ask.
