If I were to close my Paypal account, how long would it take to fully close. Would I be able to re-use the same email and same name?

You can still use all the same details, bank, phone, credit card, etc... since they were on the account originally.

Once you close the account, shouldn't take more than a minute to close. However, lately we have been experiencing issues with accounts not closing and getting errors.

Not sure it is just us or if anyone else is experiencing issues on that.

No real reason to close the account if you just want to use same info to open another one, unless you've pulled some shady stuff. You can have pp accounts lay dormant.

You can use the same info if you're not doing anything shady. Had a rep (albeit..this was probably like early 2000s at the time) tell me it was fine to have more than one account. You just can't use the same credit card.

i think the policy on that one has been changed or hasn't and their rep interpreted their own rules a bit too lightly:

according to this, you are only allowed to have one consumer account and one business account

Could be. My other account is active although I never use it. It was a knee jerk reaction to my other one being suspended until I sent in documents. She told me that I could create another one. But again, this was maybe 2003ish. I can't remember. It was a long time ago. I logged into it years ago and now it's just dormant.
