I have been using PayPal for a long time with no problems, I just had a client get all the completed work and file for his money back. I know I can fight it and also send legal documents but is there a payment system I can use for the future where I do not have to deal with this bs?

Bitcoin payments..
But really, If you selling high risk products, dont do it via PayPal, or, dont do it at all,
But if you say that you using PayPal for a long time without problems, that should not bother you, it always has a risk and you need to keep it in mind.

Don't blame PayPal blame the client. PayPal has to follow procedures and if you have been screwed by a client PayPal should be able to work things out eventually. If you have proper details of all business dealings with clients you can overcome scammers.

Yes I have all copies of work provided and can show the work was done and sent. This just grinds my gears that someone would do this to get free work at the expense of my company. What are my options for invoicing payment options? Anyone have a good list I could look into? The work we do is not shady so bit coin would not be something I would use.

It's a fairly common practice to ask for a partial payment upfront and only deliver source files after the invoice is paid in full.

You can use bitcoins for non shady stuff as well. There is no way to reverse it so it would be your best bet. Its honestly the only payment system in place that cant be reversed i believe.

It would be EXTREMELY hard to reverse a western union or bank wire.

We get all paperwork signed and benchmarks approved and signed for by the client. We've processed payments over $5,000 many times with PayPal, either by virtual terminal or via website, but have everything signed starting from the quote to fulfillment. We've never lost a chargeback claim.

There is always risk but try and get proof of everything and signatures on everything possible.

It's not hard to reverse a bank wire. Just have to claim it as fraud. And you can stop WU as long as they haven't picked it up yet.

He did pay before we sent the files, now he's claiming he did not get them should be an easy enough fix with PayPal, just sucks being in this position

Thanks for all the post guys, still looking for a payment system that goes right to our business account

i doubt it that you will find a popular widely used payment system without the risk of charge back.

it's a risk, but not a hassle. a widely used payment system is a part of customer satisfaction

i assume your paypal is in good standing and you documented your job so charge back won't be a problem, even for intangible paypal dispute. clear chronology, clear explanation backed with screenshots won't loose you any dispute.

you read this PayPal scamming more and more often ... thats really crap.

Far too common these days, clients using Paypal to cheat.... clients nowadays try some type of cheat/scam to not pay shows how the world really is

Got news this morning with all we submitted they found it in our favour. I'm happy with the ruling yet still unhappy with how shitty client can make it happen. Thank you to everyone that posted for guidance and opinions.

Cheers

I own a credit card processing company. what he did was file a "charge back", Can i know are you selling stuff on the internet ? if you're based out of the USA i can set you up with a payment gateway like Authorize.net, if you're not i would recommend going through them. I you go directly through them they do charge more. Paypals rates are ridiculous, if you like you can PM me and ill answer any of your questions.

i know a guy that i runs a buisness with paypal, all he does so theres no way a client tries to pull that crap on you is he asks you send the funds with paypal fnf. idk if that would be helpful in your case for the future.
Happy you got your rightful/hard-earned money back. TC
