Clients cheat on content writer

Im not best writer, i'm not even native speaker. But i guess it's not fair that clients always complain about high-quality PBN articles but they keep posting them without paying them. First, they will ask to modify and then they will not be satisfied with it and cancel the order. They dont need to pay, but then they keep posting the articles. I usually check the rejected articles on copyscape days after the rejection. It was always 100% unique before the delivery but will be 100% plagiat after the delivery, because they indeed post the rejected articles. And it's urghhh to see they keep posting my articles. Well, how to stab such clients?
 
Advertise on BHW
maybe first deliver them a watermarked copy of the article and after they paid you deliver the real article?
 
Where are you getting these clients? Must be something wrong if you get so many like this.

Maybe look for better source of leads.

Or increase your prices perhaps, to get rid of these tight asses...?

Why don't you take that up with the entities where you are advertising your services and let them manage those kinds of issues for you?

Hi mod, i got clients outside BHW forum but on my local forums.

Local forums, it does not only happen on me but it might have been something not weird in south east asian content writer forum.

I understand that but do those sites not offer some kind of help in resolving people ripping off your content?

Also, you could complain to the host of the guys that rip your content as that happened to me in 2009. I hired a writer and she outsourced it to someone else. I paid the one that I hired and she never paid the actual writer. She complained to the host where I had that site and they shut the site down until I showed them all the correspondence where I ordered, what KWs and instructions I used and proof that I paid.

I actually ended up hiring that actual writer too at a better rate than I was paying as she was pretty good.
 
That sucks!

Content shouldn't be refundable items unless there's a huge decline between quality advertised and quality delivered by a writer/ seller.

Before receiving the payment, mention clearly that you accept reasonable requests for revisions but cannot refund. It saves both the party.

Sadly, the forum is not specially for IM but it's in job vacancy forum. The site will never ubderstand IM problem and also it was my mistake to trust new client and just let them pay after the delivery. i only got the down payment too. I never try to contact the host


Talking about payment, indeed some writer team leaders sometimes cheat the actual writer, they got the money from clients but they hold the payment to writer. It's glad to see that one of their threads in marketplace had been closed.
 
You need to make rules for yourself. I require payment upfront or escrow. No excuses. If someone can't risk a few dollars and pay you upfront, then they are a loser and you don't want to deal with losers. If someone can't escrow money because of "trust" (people like to throw this word around and I LOL in their face because it's the Internet...try getting product from any real business without paying them first lol), then there is no trust. Trust is them putting money up to pay for my time, not me "proving" myself to someone. I have no interest in proving myself to some pleb.
 
if they are using them, then they are happy enough with the quality and should pay you, they are simply ripping you off. Crooks, and in the long term, they will lose more money then make money....... just the way the wheel turns.....

raise your prices, get some normal people man, so many losers out there to save a buck.

Only if its thru Paypal, it might help. Only if I send after the full payment, that might not happen. Again, it may be about to ask the professionality.
I just want to know how to stab them, one of my friends recommend to post the articles in several blogs, mod recommends me to contact the host so it could make the site down.

Contact the host... posting the content elsewhere won't do a darn thing to cause them to pay you.

The object is to get paid, not to screw them over. Screwing them back won't put any food on your table whatsoever but contacting their host may cause them to pay you which is ultimately what you want.

I guess that what business should be. I might need to change the way i treat new clients

And... mention that you don't offer refund. You cannot satisfy a client with refunds, my personal experience. ;)

You can't be afraid to walk away from people. That is one of the major problems I see with a lot of sellers. They will do anything to get a customer, and it's not a good way to do business. My rules. My game. I'm the expert, so you do it my way or gfy. You will have far fewer asshole clients that way. :) People who try to work around basic payment methods are trying to find a way not to pay you.

I also prefer to be in the position of power. If you have the money, you can determine if a refund is necessary. Bad idea to let the client determine if they deserve a refund. I agree with the poster who said you won't salvage the relationship with a refund. If it comes to that, you've already lost the client.

Why don't you get some certificates online and take the contracts on those certificate, this will help you in proving your skills to the clients. Also you may just provide a sample first (One paragraph only) and once they approve it, take the money and then provide the content.
