Clickbank shaving finally I have proof

I've always had the fear that they shave like mad, but finally I'm in the position of producing a proof.
A Valuable Customer of mine mailed me because he cannot download the ebook purchased (probably because he's just dumb).
The important part is that on the day he purchased the product I had one Order Form Submits and no Sales!
I'm waiting for his reply now, I've asked for a confirmation mail from clickbank and screenshot of the debit card's statement.
What else do they send you when you purchase a product? What's the best thing I can ask him for a proof that he purchased from my affiliate?

Clickbank does not own the products. They just provide you the marketplace. Don't say Clickbank is shaving and bla bla bla everytime..
 
I dont think they would try doing such a thing, maybe it is just a cookie tracking problem..

I thought that they handle all the tracking and processes. I however think that it is just a tracking problem. my opinion
 
Yeah, what Aang said. It could be due to a tracking issue.
Therefore its probably the fault of the seller.
Make sure you've looked into all possible variables and reasons when getting your evidence and proof.
 
Maybe the user has a browser plugin that blocks tracking cookies. There's not much you can do about it except ask the customer to disable the plugin.
 
If he can not download it, and he's as dumb as you say, maybe the sale didn't go through properly. Otherwise, as others have mentioned, it is just an issue with the tracking. Just wait for a reply from Clickbank. I doubt whether shaving is the issue.
 
Clickbank does NOT shave and I have the proof:

Among our products, we've got three well-established ones that have been generating strong sales since 2012. For these 3 products, we offer free personal consultations to each customer. Now, when they email us, before getting them in touch with our health consultant, we ask them to supply their clickbank receipt number to verify their purchase. Since 2012, not a single purchase was 'missing' or not attributed to an affiliate. Keep in mind that each of these products generates well over 40 sales per day, so you can imagine the volume I am talking about. If clickbank was shaving, I would know it.

In your case the answer is one of three possibilities:
1. They purchased through your link the day before or after. Remember that CB is set on a specific time zone, so a purchase that was done on X day can show up on X, X-1, or X+1 in CB stats.
2. After they clicked through your affiliate link, they clicked on someone else's affiliate link, and hence the last affiliate was credited with the sale.
3. (Common): they never purchased the product in the first place; they are just sneakily looking to obtain a free copy.

Like another user stated if anyone is shaving its not clickbank its the vendor, i've been making money with them for years and they never shaved, they might hold on to your money for a while but they don't shave.

and you should also think that no one can game that, right?
 
I also vote for a browser plugin. If they block cookies and other tracking methods by default you are SOL.
 
I cannot understand the whole "shaving" theory that some affiliates seem to have.

A vendor makes money because his affiliates make money.
The more affiliates the Vendor has who trust him/her - the more money they make.
The Vendor makes more money, if he/she has more affiliates who trust them.

Why on Earth would a vendor bite the hand that feeds them?
