Clickbank mission starts today, will update...

All you have to do is change the nameservers on godaddy and point the domain to your host. Ipage is kinda weird though, I have only worked with them once. I couldn't give you instructions on how to add the domain there once your nameservers have been set via godaddy. They may not let you point a domain there. Like I said they are sort of weird.

I do know of a really sweet gal who has a free hosting service that uses CPanel, but I don't want to broadcast it here. I'm also too new to send PMs.

Another free host that I know of and have used many times is FreeHostia. The free version does have some limitations in regards to email and installing themes/plugins for wordpress. You have to manually upload themes/wordpress upgrades/plugins, and you can't set up a contact form through wordpress either. I just used a 3rd party free embeddable contact form tool.

So yeah, it's not point and click like iPage, but you'll likely delve into learning the PHP applications after you get going with all of this stuff.

No offense bud, but I spent 4 hours today searching for a niche product and for keyphrases that were quality, then another 2 hours writing a squidoo lens with keyphrase-rich content, I'm not about to give that information away.

All I'll say is if you did the same research, you'd find your own.

clickbank

Now I just need a sale to get me started....

I'm looking forward to seeing you get your first sale on Clickbank and share how you did it because I'm currently advertising Clickbank promotions on my new website and need a sale so badly! :/

Hi mate, hope you will do well, i'm following this :)

Why don't you make a youtube channel along with the website? I did this for my new website and it's a good way to start getting traffic while you wait to get your site ranked. And it will give more credibility.

Cheers.

May I ask how you are getting some traffic off of YouTube channels?
I find it kind of hard and time-consuming to gather traffic with Youtube other than Tube Toolbox.
And what kind of videos would you post anyway about a niche? :P

Thanks.

Success!

I know it's only $4, but...

I am happier about this than I was when I won $17k in one month playing online poker!

This has just given me a massive boost - I thought it might take a month at least to make some $$, it took just 9 days.

Happy Christmas!

what niche is that? $4? is that a trial?

Obv I'm not going to tell you what product/niche it is....do your own research.

And no, it's not a trial. It was from the 3rd option I set up (new website) at 75% commission. I just settled on something after keyword reserch that had 0 grav, that I figured eventually would get me 20-50 sales a month, which I believed in.

The beauty of it is, the website is about a popular niche that I can promote further products on, I did my reearch and gave away something for free to add them to an email list, so that = future sales.

No more sales so far, but my website is getting more traffic each day and I now have about 10 names to target on my autoresponder list. Still getting as many backlinks done as possible by targeting blogs that are within my niche to comment on.

I've noticed my ranking for my keyword bouncing around quite eraticly on google. I was on page 6 for a while, now I'm dropping like a stone although only a couple of links are showing in a google search - weird? I have a feeling this is just what google does until your backlinks start showing up.

The website is now pretty much done. I've tinkered with it every day to get the look and feel right. Next on my to do list is...

...to make a youtube vid with powerpoint and camtasia, which I should be finished with by Sunday. After that I'll set up an email campaign for my autoresponder list, then concentrate on setting up other products on my review site, whilst still posting on any blogs that I get from my g-alerts.

This seems a slow process. I have to remember that Rome wasn't built in a day, and that most noobs would not have even got this far.

Anybody have any other ideas as to what I can also do?

No offense dude, but when people ask you questions you refuse to give answers... then ask us what you can also do? :p

So I should do all this work and research, then just tell people what my product or niche is so they can compete against me?

No offense dude, but that would be bloody stupid.

I started this thread because I educated myself on how to build a website, on hosting, clickbank, driving traffic and affiliate marketing. It took at least 4 months to figure out how to start. Most of the information I received is on BHW - I read, researched and learned how to do it. I am still learning, and have a lot more to do, however I am putting some serious effort into it and I know damn well I am going to succeed in my goals. I wanted to give something back by telling a story of one way to get started making money online, and show results over the coming weeks/months to show people it works if you put the time and effort.

At no point did I say to anyone "please show me how to make monies" or "what product are you selling?", I did my own research, just like all the people here making big bucks tell people to do.

This is why if anyone asks "what is your product" etc, I pretty much tell them to f off. They are missing the point of this journal.

lol all i asked was what niche.i didnt even ask what product.you sound very obnoxious.at least you are hard working.good luck with your clickbank endeavors.:D

A hint would help you get more suggestion from experienced members. No one asks you for the product. Without product and keywords, it's hard for someone to compete against you, until one has a Phd in that.
