All you have to do is change the nameservers on godaddy and point the domain to your host. Ipage is kinda weird though, I have only worked with them once. I couldn't give you instructions on how to add the domain there once your nameservers have been set via godaddy. They may not let you point a domain there. Like I said they are sort of weird.
I do know of a really sweet gal who has a free hosting service that uses CPanel, but I don't want to broadcast it here. I'm also too new to send PMs.
Another free host that I know of and have used many times is FreeHostia. The free version does have some limitations in regards to email and installing themes/plugins for wordpress. You have to manually upload themes/wordpress upgrades/plugins, and you can't set up a contact form through wordpress either. I just used a 3rd party free embeddable contact form tool.
So yeah, it's not point and click like iPage, but you'll likely delve into learning the PHP applications after you get going with all of this stuff.
