claim Facebook group admin status

your best bet is to stay active in the group, request the moderator role if possible, and wait for the system to roll out the admin suggestion prompt

Dawin L has part of it, but a few points are worth correcting from Facebook's own Help Center. Facebook documents that when a group has no admins, a moderator can make themself admin, and if the group has no admins or moderators at all, a member can make themself admin. Also, when the last admin leaves, Facebook prompts them to invite a successor and automatically pauses the group if nobody accepts within about a week. One thing to fix in the advice above: only admins can invite someone to become an admin or moderator, so an existing moderator cannot appoint you.

If the group has no admin, check Facebook’s Help Center for the current process, as there may not be a direct claim option. I’d also check whether any existing moderators are still active before reporting it.

It is virtually impossible; Facebook groups can only add new administrators if approved by an existing administrator. If you are unable to contact them, you will not be able to join.

You cannot obtain administrative rights for those groups unless the existing administrators transfer them to you.

You cannot take over a Facebook group administrator position without the current administrator's approval. The only exception is when the group is completely ownerless and the system automatically prompts active members to suggest administrator positions.

Hi

How can I claim groups that don't have an admin? What is the process?
i would be cauttious about any person who claims that they could give the admin permissions via some special technique.in case the original administrator had either quit or been banned there is a variety of possibilities depending on the current configuration of ur group. how did u find out that there is no admin at all?

i do not think that there is any sure shot way of cllaiming that particular group based on the fact that there is no active admin in that group.i would first look into whether facebook has any admin or group recovery methods for that particular group.if there is already an admin u might have to contact him or her.

surely u cant', FB handles this automatically via internal group algorithm prompts.
if a group loses all admins -> FB offers the admin role to active moderators first
if there is no mod -> active members will eventually in shortlist
Your best for now is to join group with aged pro5 and stay active in that group, then wait for the system trigger

That is a hidden administrator, you cannot simply attempt to gain administrative rights without receiving an invitation doing so would be a violation. You must proactively request administrative access from the current administrator

There are a lot of abandoned FB groups.
Is there a way to gain the admin access in them? They dont have a moderator .

Yes I know that. But , how is the way? I know people do that and earn some $$$$ by selling the groups.
I think they become active members in those groups and if the group has no admin after some time Facebook may prompt an active member to become admin. But it's a hit or miss

Wyeta's "hit or miss" fits one part of it: the option appearing isn't guaranteed. But the routes themselves are documented rather than folklore - as covered earlier in this thread, Facebook's Help Center says that when a group has no admins, a moderator can make themself admin, and when there are no admins or moderators at all, a member can make themself admin. On the selling angle Funiki mentioned: if people really are flipping ownerless groups, one plausible explanation is that they got active early and used that built-in route - what sells is the group's audience, not a secret method.

That makes sense, particularly when the page is getting impressions. I would just watch out for trying to get CTR only and see whether the search terms match the page and send you the right visitors,
