You need to apply to the different advertisers in addition to setting up your CJ account. When you log in click the "Advertisers" button on the tool bar and then you will come to a screen like this one:
Type in the kinds of things you want to advertise in the Keyword(s) box as indicated by the red arrow and hit the search button.
You'll be presented with a list of advertisers and you then apply to each one to be a publisher for them.
