I once knew a retired (disabled) trucker that later became a security (skip tracer) and he was damn good at it. He would do all sorts of crazy shit to make sure nobody could find him if he didn't want to be found. I asked him who are you hiding from? He was such a nice and easy going guy I couldn't believe he had any real enemies. He said nobody, but the time to be stealth is long before you need to be.
What I'm saying is if you don't want people to know your shit then quit posting it. If you can't refrain from Social networks and such then always use an alias.
Most of what people want secret are things they've already made public. Then they argue foul that someone can use it without permission. Sorta like hanging your drawers on the clothesline and bitching the neighbors are looking at your underware.
