According to CISPA, if you have a Facebook, twitter, instagram, and/or any other social networking site, the U.S. govenment will have the right to take information about you. --> Doesn't Matter if your in America or International <--

This shit cannot pass. The World rights will be taken, not only Americans. Discuss.

IF it gets past the senate, I'm pretty sure Obama and his advisers said that they would vito that piece of crap bill.

So very true. However, this bill allows the people with your info to hand it off to anyone they want, for any reason or lack there of. Now THAT sucks..

Who cares, they're already doing this. Do you really think somebody cares about your private info? Do you really think Obama is the real president of USA? I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.

Sadly all these companies are based in the US so they have to follow US law.
 
How can you oppose CISPA with Verizon, AT&T, IBM and Google giving their blessing on handing over your data to any intelligence agency that requests it? Come on people it's for your own good, they want to protect us from any and all cyber threats and it's not as if any American president such as Richard Nixon had an enemies list. Note: this is sarcasm!
 
It will pass in one form or another.
Lawmakers will sneak all of it (or parts of it) into another bill if this one doesn't go through.
Remember the SOPA black out? Yeah, what our overlords realized is that blackouts cost money, rehashing old bills doesn't. Most sites can't sustain this type of model, cutting user access whenever there's a new bill on the horizon. So expect them to shove it down your throat until you choke.

Also, Obama is not against any of it. He'll most probably use his veto powers as leverage to push through some other stuff or do additional modifications to the bill. He'll sign it eventually (if not in this form then in another) with deep regret and sorrow in his eyes.

To be honest though, I usually take a similar stance when it comes to politics. We don't know crap, and people just like us (but up the chain) will continue to do whatever the hell they want.

I still think that CISPA should be stopped - it allows too much.
 
If CISPA can still be stopped or filibustered, it should be. The fact they are destroying our privacy as it stands just means they are willing to do so whether or not the practice is codified into law. Let's at least deny them that legal cover to be tyrants.
 
If you're trying to hide something then don't put it on a social networking site.
 
You dont have no rights. Do your research America is a corporation. So what that make you? I never understood why everyone want to come to Good ole USA. If you were born around 1776 you probably could've claim your rights. The 1800's issue in a new Era. Its a very lengthy subject, but once again do your research.
 
Ill have to agree with you 100%. Every political member you see is nothing more than a puppet.
