So, state govts will have to ask Google to block certain websites for their country. This is ridiculous. I expect a fight between google and state. Or, maybe there will be country level proxies. But then, this feature won't be very effective.

This can be easily bypass by using other browser if google block it on chrome. and user will be moving to other browser.

I guess the only thing that it means for bulk account creation is that now all services will require to enter phone number cause there will be no way to judge by an ip address
I doubt it will work the other way around cause as we know, they get more strict

Read the news again. Users of chrome will love it. Free proxy that can bypass ads and censorship.
It will only bypass third party ads which is not serve by google.
Meaning that, google will be the only company who can serve all their users with their ads. Eventually, google will be the only one earn from offering ads.
