When you check domains what are the most important things to look at?

-TF - CF
-DR , most of the domains i find have a DR of below 5 but the TF -CF is 20 - 8
-Anchors
-Quality of backlinks
-Wayback data , such as has the last 2 years the domain only been a redirect ? Does it matter if it has been in redirect mode for the last 2 years when reviving old content of maybe a year before that?
Do you still get indexed and retain the seo juice of 4 years ago. if a domain had no data on it for 2 years after that?

Ive read a lot of guides but none very in detail.

If you're domain Alexa ranking is good than it is a good choice to renew your domain.

Metrics are covered here - https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/c...osts-metrics-spam-and-niche-relevancy.916518/

301 redirects are harmless. It might take a bit longer for the domain power to kick in, but apart of that, it's fine. Most expired domains were redirected at some point in their history.

You should also be checking historic anchors and most of all, hosting history. In hosting history you can see most of the crap.
