Hi, I'm about to choose a domain and I'm a bit confused on how trademark works. I checked at http://tmsearch.uspto.gov about a word that I want to keep in my domain and I see lots of trademark registers. For example, the word "game" (the word that I want in my domain is a general word and not any branded word) has lots of trademark results, so can I still use the word "game" in my domain?

Another thing, suppose a domain for example "best.com" is registered in 2014 and expiring in 2019. So, can I make "bestzzz.com"? Any kind of problem that I may face later?

as long as your not using a theme like theres or logo or products like there , there be no problam.

Why so much confusion? You can use "game" "best" word in your domain. FB, Google, Branded names are not allowed to use.

Hmm okay. I was having confusion but now it's clear. :)

best is not a trademark, best.com is a trademark. you can use these words in your domain. They are called generic names.
