Chineses are doing something different! killing the Serps

And I thought the whole 'black text on black background' thing was dead & buried a long time ago. But here's a quick thought / stupid question: Big G does indeed hate this kind of thing, but is it possible to let it slip by because the pages are in Chinese and not English? I know nothing about how different character sets in different languages work, but I'd guess that text is text, regardless if its English, Chinese, Klingon, etc.

Well am not sure if big G likes it or not, but they are getting their keywords ranking high. It might be cause those pages are in chinese. who knows.
Here is the source code of one of the sites:

Google doesn't like hidden links. Two years ago yes - you could hide your links or kewords in the header of your website with
keyword x 10
and it was guaranteed 1st page.

I don't think google.com is the most used search engine in China.

I see this all the time and not only a Chinese thing. Be careful when using seemingly free templates available online as you may be unwittingly promoting other peoples sites, links, products and even cookies.

This will be heavily penalized after a few months. I am not sure which method the engines use (maybe it is people reporting), but hidden text gets hit often, hard, and accurately in the serps. It is also not so useful. Much better to have buttons like "click here to see our partners"; the button solution hides the stuff by default but saves you from accusations, because it is shown on demand...

The truth is that many chinese sites have a bad defense, hacker is easy to get the administrator privilege, then add back links in those high pr sites

Are chineses so different that anything they do is labeled chineses? I think such tech is used by a lot of marketers not only by chineses. I am chinese, but i don't know such trick

I am just curiouse what makes the chinese marketers defferent from other marketers? ;)
