China - - - Hell?

China isin't that bad, wanna know what hell is then i'd suggest you try India

Agreed

I'm afraid most of that is home-grown. Though from time to time as much as 30% is from East Asia.

Car emissions are the majority of the problem. It's because everybody drives their own car, by themselves, long distances, every day, and for their whole lives!
And the public transportation is terrible when compared to the likes of New York... and the we expand out instead of up like NY.

Enough griping - I love the place, it's beautiful, and I don't like seeing it through the lens of smog.

Well I never a host of negatives by I guess folks who have never been there...

I have lived and worked in China for more than 7 years and have been to dozens of cities and regions, and sure the pollution is bad in some cities ...

But like some poster earlier said folks seem to have a problem these days in reporting anything good about a place...

Well here is the other side the people in the main are great to know, and one learns so much about the Oriental way of living life in a healthy way...

By that I mean go into any park in China at early dawn and the grass areas will be packed with hundreds of fit (and I mean fit) men and woman in their 80s and 90s practicing Tai Chi and the likes...

Of course the rest of the park will be full of men and women of all ages cycling, running, skateboarding - kick boxing and so much more...

China is a panoramic mosaic of stunning natural beauty intermingled with all the garbage the West has dumped in there like McDonalds - Starbucks et al.

What you read in a book or see on the TV is all the negative BS they want to feed you with...

Folks don't jibe with others and kick a place or country in the teeth until you have been there...

Yes but the issue is they can't buy resources for that money like gold they would like to buy.The US is controling the money flow.Thats why china supports the EUR because they are using it as a proxy to buy resources which they couldn't when using USD.Also please remember china has a lot of USD but is now also taxed in a hiddenn way like all countries in the world who are selling their services or resources for USD.How ?When the Fed produces more q3 and each dollar will be less worth because of that ,the USD from these countries will be also less worth. So fed is getting new funds and the losses willl be basicly splittet between other countries and the us citizens ;)

USD goes up and down based on forex, not how much the federal reserve prints.

Just think about it: there's 2 billion people living in one huge country, statistically there's bound to be some weird and wonderful stories coming from there, and naturally the media wouldn't report anything else.
I lived in Taiwan for two years where I learnt to speak mandarin, now living in Japan where I have several friends from China and they're all cool really nice people.

This is a good doc to watch when you get time, it really opens up your eyes about China.

Just past that after the YouTube domain, for some reason I got a message saying:-

"You are NOT allowed to post URLs, email addresses and images, until after you have been a member of BHW for a little longer."

Not too sure of they're being serious with that one.

You need 50 posts. Man, your Posts-per-day must suck.

I wouldn't recommend you to start day trading when you don't even understand the basics.

The value of USD has nothing to do with the ratio between other currencies or other staff on forex.
As example if a national bank from a country increases the % rate for lending money what happens ?
Their currency is getting stronger as easy money is going to be less.Result the currency gets stronger against other currencies at forex.Does this mean that the value of their currency has more value now ?No !
There are only short time additional values if the change is in a small country which has the possibility to import more goods because of their stronger currency but that costs an decrease in their exports and domestic trading

But its not going to increase the cost of items, if the fed starts printing a bunch of money. The price of many items has remained the same for years.

Ouch that is wrong. You wont tell me the USD is the same worth like many years ago ?I guess you never checked prices USD vs resources.

A ratio between 2 currencies isnt showing the value of a currency.
As example
USD doubles their printed money. What happens ?There is 2 times more money for the same amount of goods and after x time the price of these goods should double.
Lets take another country which created 4 times more money so goods costs there now 4 times more than before.
The ratio between these two currencies which was 1:1 before normaly would change to 2:1 .
So you get 2 units of the other currency for your USD.Does that mean that the USD has more value now ?
No it still lost 50% of its value even it looks compared to another currency that it increased

A brand new xbox 360 game still costs $59.99 which is same price as it was in 2005, if it was really affected by u.s. government printing more money, it would cost $68 right now.

Man... you can't base the value of US currency on Xbox 360 games.
Lest I point out the obvious, there's many factors that go into both the value of money and the value of Xbox 360 games. And the stagnancy of one does not necessarily coincide with the stagnancy of the other.

I'm fairly sure the brilliant economist and wealthy industrialist H.E. Pennypacker proved that inflation was tied directly to the price of video games.

I know someone who lives there. He told me the best way is to see if for yourself, just go on google images and type: Beijing Smog

Don't know if you are tolling or just dont understand basics.
You can't value the USD compared to a product only to resources.A product has in their price man power, commision, prices for technology etc.
That the price didnt went up is because the price for manpower decreased and the % of commision decreased. So these two values decreased to hold the price but surely not the value of the USD.

Sorry but after reading your post i wouldnt recommend you to start day trading in any way as you will be sooner or later meat for the big bollers as you dont understand basics and dont understand how market manipulation is being used
