Chess Puzzle

This is a tough one.

I sat here racking my brain for a few minutes, unable to solve it.

I was curious, so I entered the sequence into 3 different chess AI's.
They say checkmate is only possible in 3 moves, not 2 moves.

Are you tricking us @ScreamingMidget ? lol

Yes, there is a huge issue with it.
The problem here is that the premise is wrong.
It does NOT force black king into d6, because you can move black bishop h1 to e4, blocking the rook, and making it take several additional moves.

Maybe I'm wrong, but as I said, stockfish chess AI says this puzzle takes 3 moves (on white side), rather then 2.

I don't think it is possible for all responses from black.

Re3 check
If Kd6, Qxe7 mate
If Rook blocks, mate with Qd5
But blocking with bishop or knight will take an extra move to mate.

I didn't check this, because regardless of whether it works or not, it's more then the 2 moves (on white side) OP stated as a requirement for the puzzle answer.

I am pretty sure this is an impossible chess puzzle and OP is playing a trick on us.

Black can play rook B4 with check making this more than 3 moves for white

Doesn't work because white rook cannot go to c4, only white knight can.
If you mean white knight to c4, then you can take with black rook and stop the sequence.
Results in another 3 move checkmate, rather then the 2 moves OP requested.

Ok, but if you read above in the thread, I tested this one earlier too.
It's not a 2 move win because black can move h1 bishop to e4 and make it a 3 move win for white.
I assume that's what you meant by "not forced", but that also means it doesn't fit OP's requirements.
This sequence depends on black making a mistake, so it's invalid.
