Hello guys i need your solid help here

when i want to check if one of my backlinks is indexed by google, i type site:url and the result sometimes returns many results but not my exact link, how come ? how can you check the indexed rate of your links accurately.

for example:

site:https://forum.solarbotics.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=160792 returns 532 results but my exact url isnt the first one, does this mean that the link is not indexed ?

check this URL:

https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q="We+did+this+trip+after+a+recommendation+by+friends.+Clean+vehicle+and+fast+transport+around+the+phi+phi+island+tours.+The+temple+was+my+personal+highlight,+loved+the+atmosphere+there!+If+you+are+looking+for+a+good+half+day+intro+to+the+island,+book+this+tour."

Its a weird case, but I would guess its indexed. Check and cache version and it can show your "links" at the below thread phi phi island...

I think this is because of a bad practice of that forum settings or parameter related, in a normal case, site: operator is accurate.

thanks bro, the problem is probably from the forum settings as you said. using an exact quote like you did shows its indexed
