check out my daughters drawing skills on procreate

My daughter done a picture today for my mums birthday. She drew it using ipad and procreate, I just thought it was a really good drawing and its super cool how procreate lets you create a stopframe animation of the drawing process, so thought I'd upload and share it in the lounge here :D

imgur doesn't seem to be working right now so I am not uploading the actual finished picture, just the animation of it being created (Uploaded to vimeo) -

Dude, thanks so much for this. My daughter has incredible drawing skills at just 7, and I was looking for something to broaden her mind and get her creating!

Awesome work by the way :) very talented girl you have there!
 
She must have attentive skills. Is this for school or something if not shes self taught very well.

Thanks mate. Yea, procreate is a great app. Also my daughter started copying other art first, that’s how she learned. Also my other younger daughter has one of those light boards for tracing - we got it off Amazon really Cheap and it makes tracing easy.

Thanks mate. It’s not a school project, it was a picture she created for my mums birthday. She spends a large part of the day drawing stuff on procreate though and has hundreds of drawings on there. She’s done 1 tutorial as well, which I think she’s posted on YouTube.

Actually, just realised, I’m not in the picture anyway; it’s my two daughters and their two cousins.
 
Aww a daddy proud of his daughter's work. Need more heart warming posts like this.

She can draw a lot better than me on paint though. :D
 
Well Dave, 2-3 more years of practicing and she can join UpWork! I guess there is no better feeling than watching your kids learning stuff and getting some amazing results, just like your daughter did.

Well as a keen artist (who stopped drawing for some reason) I tried to give both my daughters a few pointers. They are actually both very talented. Both exceed my skill level at their ages. My eldest daughter learned by copying and tracing, and then YouTube. My youngest is doing the same now, and it's beautiful too see them doing something they love.

I always tell them not to stop ever drawing if it makes them happy. Whether they make money out of it or not, it's such an incredible thing to be creative. They keep telling me the same thing haha

This shitty lockdown and family time... Made me revaluate things for this year, and get my own ducks in a row.

The great thing about kids, mate - you never get old if you see things through their eyes. Pure magic.
