Cheating Adsense

Wait a sec....I'm no pro at this but how would Google know this? I click a link that takes me to a site that sells vitamins. Google knows where I came FROM when I clicked the ad and they obviously know what site I went to AFTER I clicked the ad. What you're saying is that they know what I've done once I'm on this site?

Obviously, yes.

And what if they go from site A to site B and there is nothing to purchase or convert at either site? Blog to blog for example?

On a larger scale, the quality of your traffic that you sent can be easily analyzed. We are not talking about one click here, we are talking about patterns.

google bans you very fast for invalid clicks. Keep this in mind. You know what is the main driving force behind adsense security? Conversions. This is the word. If your visitors do NOT convert, then google adsense will bust your ass, smartprice first and after that ban.No matter how many proxies you use. Whenever you hear stories about people who were COMPLETELY innocent and still got banned from adsense, this is not bullsh1t. The reasons they got banned is that their visitors did not convert. Simple as that. They might have been legit visitors, but if they do not convert, your ass is on fire. Keep this in mind whenever you want to cheat adsense. You can cheat and generate impressions, proxies, ctr you can bypass their algortihm. But there is one think you can not cheat. And this is conversions. If you send them crap traffic, they will bust your ass sooner or later. No matter if you have involved click fraud or not. That s why is almost impossible to cheat adsense.

Blackhatting adsense?
I exposed one way of blackhatting it using the referals scheme. There are other ways that involve increasing your ctr or increasing your cpc. But never invalid clicks. Google does not need to explain you why they ban. If they feel that you cheat them, the visitors do not convert, they will ban you, without even thinking to find how you generate invalid clicks.
Adsense is a business, and you have to play according to their rules.

All true. Thank you Nick.

I am still wondering how, when someone enters my website, Google knows what their actions are. Or, let's say they come to my site, and then return days or weeks later to make a purchase. I'm not saying you're wrong but it almost sounds Big Brother-ish. Cookies are one thing but this sounds weird. I'm genuinely confused on how they know what someone's actions are.

Don't give Google so much credit. When you advertise with Adwords you have the option of setting up conversion tracking, this can be what ever you want, a sale, an email signup whatever. If you don't set up conversion tracking, Googles involvement stops at the click. Sorry but its not that scary. This is not speculation, this is fact.

I do not say that they are perfect, but i say that they keep track of your conversions. Think about this: you send to them thousands of clicks per day, right? According to that data they can have a general image about your website traffic quality. Have you ever heard about smartpricing? Is the same principle, you send them crap traffic which do not convert = you are going to get lower cpc. Because they know whether your traffic converted or not, within some error range, of course.
There is no way to put in place a system that constantly generate invalid clicks without being flagged by google. You can adjust the ctr, the cpc, the impressions, you can use proxy whatever you want, but at a point in time, they will see that your traffic sucks.
I am bored about this discussion. You do not believe it, go and try to cheat adsense, and tell us whether you succeeded and how much money you have made. It is simple to make a bot, proxy, impressions, ctr, and imitate a normal user behavior . But is hard not to get caught.

shit.. i have been writing about 5 minutes my post, and then accidentaly clicked backspace...
so ... in conclusion... :)

I just wanted to say that Google is really smart about click fraud, and I even wouldn't try do that. And again, this forum isn't about that.

I am part a an add clickers group. Now what they do is they go to your site using a portal page. click on your adds and click the ads on the add page too. this way the advertiser who gave those adds also benefits and you get paid too. They even go and register and sign up for newsletter in advertisers pages which makes it look quite genune. They always advice the use of multiple add source to reduce the exposure to a particular type of add and they recommend various methods to reduce the ctr. I have been using these for quite some time now and never had any problem. I guess if you use things carefully and stay out of radar you cheat them. I think the combination of black and white hat methods always works gr8:)

They would ban you quickly, but I don't know about legal issues. I've yet to see Google sue anyone. Although if you do it in a large enough scale, I'm certain they wouldn't hesitate suing. Think MySpace.

I know everyone moans about getting banned from adsense, but at one point I was clicking on about 20 ads per day behind proxies on a site that had around 500 hits per day and I was earning a good and easy 30$ extra and I never got caught, the thing is if you do do it vary it clear cookies use proxy different pcs etc and you should be ok.

I only know, that there are many whining people outside cause of banned accounts. But there are also new fakers and so on available... And there are also some people who are trying out how far they can go with faking adsense. But the problem is that you'll get (mostly) no second chance from google. And so you will have again some new whining ex-adsense-fakers outside who are posting threads in forums like "Sh*t - Google banned me!"... I tried this also, was clickin' two or three times on my own ad... Banned.

New account, and never clicked on my own again... Not even behind a proxy... Never! So stay away from these things...

There is a method to earn money grassing people up who cheat Adsense. I might blog about it some time. You can earn a lot of money too. Someone did over $2000 for 10 minutes of work, simply grassing up the cheat.
