ChatGPT vs DeepL

While DeepL was specifically designed and trained for translation it still tends to fall short in my experience. So, for now I'd go with Chatgpt but that might change in the near future

I want to use a tool for translation, which one is better? thanks
ChatGPT can translate too but DeepL is made for translation only. So if you want to translate only then DeepL is the option but if you want to go creative along with translation then you can use chatGPT with various prompts that can make it happen.

Chatgpt for the win and it's widely used AI tool too. Don't know much about deepl though

I think DeepL is a translation tool focused on high-quality language translation , but chatgpt is user friendly and used by many.

Translation tool choice depends on your needs. Google Translate (free) is good for quick stuff in many languages, but accuracy can be iffy. DeepL (free and paid) is known for accuracy, especially for longer texts (paid plan might be needed).

Grammarly (free and paid) focuses on grammar but can translate short bits and improve clarity. Google Translate is a good first stop, DeepL for top accuracy.

ChatGPT is good and reliable for common languages pairs, however, for less common language pairs or technical terminology the translation reliability is lower

Hi no one is better, but you may use them both to get the best result. Unfortunately, even AI-based translators will not give a perfect result.

I want someone really had experiences on this, not like AI answers.

How would you guys know Chatgpt is better than Deelp if you even hadn't used them and compared it thoroughly?

For example, DE->En En->DE FR ->EN EN -> Fr

DeepL is good but if you can use chatgpt better avoid it, sometimes but sometimes deepL wild translate something into nonsense
