I want to use a tool for translation, which one is better? thanks

I used Finnish to English translation of deepL after reading good reviews on reddit, and somehow I got disappointed, need to go back to google quite often. And Google is good enough, ChatGPT logs out just too often.

My observation: If you can provide a full sentence with context, ChatGPT is better. If not then DeepL.

Chatgpt is better but you need to learn prompt engineering to get the best results!

I've used both, DeepL doesn't provide translations as good as it's claimed. It often makes mistakes and produces translations with different meanings. ChatGPT is better in terms of translation.

ChatGPT is better because you can define the context.
If you tell ChatGPT what the text is about, it will do a much better job at translating than without it.
That was always an issue with translators, they need to extract the context from the little text you provide.

Translation purpose, ChatGPT(it is versatile and can handle many language task) is good..

If you think about speed, DeepL is quicker.

It depends as per your need.

ChatGPT is better for sure. However, if the case is daily use, DeepL is better than Google translate and faster than ChatGPT.

ChatGPT all the way, support all languages

To be honest, I don't find much success with translation. It's best with English; others, not so much... especially languages like Sinhala, Hindi, Arabic, etc., so not all languages.

If it's just a simple translation without need of customisation I would stick with DeepL
