Chatbot Marketing

Hey guys.

Anyone here doing Chatbots? I've been looking at this tend for some time and it seems to me, that it's going to become "The Next Big Thing".
What do you think? Is it worth diving into it or do you think it will just be another bright, but short lived star in the sky?

What do you mean exactly by that? Too many people/agencies offering their chatbot building services? A well executed chatbot actually brings value to the table.

they are very useful only for subscriptions purposes and sending news feeds..

Are you complaining that there are too many people offering SEO, FB Ads, AdWords, Web Design etc? Competition is competition. It sounds like some people do not know the true value of a chatbot. When you see large corporations moving towards something, you better take notice. Log in to Messenger and look at Nike, Lego, Sephora, Absolut Vodka, Chevrolet and then tell me again that they do not work. It may not be for you, but don't try and sell the opportunity short.

I personally use custom programmed chat bots to get conversions for dating offers. My chat bots use a neural network and can hold a decent conversation with you while still following a sort of script. You of course do not need a neural network, I just love AI. Anyways long rant made short, chat bots can make you a ton of money.

Chatbot is lame unless the bot is based on AI not logical if else shit.
Will never work that way but works ..

You could not be more wrong if you tried. You do not need a neural network to make a decent chat bot that understands a huge vocabulary and has tons of replies per keyword. You also do not need a neural network for your chat bot to understand intent. There are plenty of amazing chat bots created with out neural networks. I will admit that I prefer to use AI and neural networks in my personal bots, but they are by no means necessary for a really good bot.

Oops. Can you refer me to a link where a chatbot based on what you have talked doing well or a git release of yours so I can see the differences?
Can you name some chatbot that replacing human as they are too good at understanding?
Some examples will always help you to win any conversation.

I voted for chatbots fading away. The way they are being used today, for fun porpuses, won´t live long.
But from the practical point of view, they won´t disappear. Especially with the high achievements in AI development and the new possibilities with quantum processors, high functional chatbots will be needed in literally every niche.

I'm seeing, that all the greats who can affoard it, are getting or looking into getting a bot. There's supply there, but nearly not even close to being oversaturated. Demand is there, but I feel it's yet to be uncapped fully.

I've seen use cases of Bots actually creating a decent ROI from a campaign use. (PZU Insurance Estonia)

I think google assistant will play a big role in the future.
Typing is so year 2000, voice speech is the next thing.
It has been around for a long time but it's finally becoming advanced enough to actually use decently.
I think google will open an app store for google assistant. When you can program it might be interesting building apps? There are not much people doing it right now, it's to new.

Im day 8 into building my chatbot , its working rather well but it isnt a one off build and don't forget as the parameters keep on expanding as the exposure to traffic becomes intense and as such you will need to alter and expand the existing bot into the direction of what your traffic is asking and seeking answers to. A solid chatbot build can fetch afew "k" if you know how to sell and have the right clients who require fast turn over of incoming potential leads.

There are tons of startups working on chatbots, The couple I have looked at seem promising.

Anyone have an example of chatbot working well on the dating offers side? I have some ideas

Figure out how "Crystal Knows, The app that tells you anyone's personality." uses to operate their personality ai and attach it to a chat bot. I think it might be IBM Watson api.

Sorry I can't link you'll be able to find it by searching that.

I know a lot of agencies are using bots now to help their local business clients. Seems to be great for lead gen and redeeming offers.
