CHAT GPT as a threat!

I used to work in a content writing company a few years back and we were a team of 50 employees. I called at the office and luckily, got o have a conversation with my former boss. Guess what? He told me that the work he has now is just 30% of what he had back then and the percentage started falling right after the launch of Chat GPT. Even though he had a well established team of writers with lots of bulk writing orders, he now says that the company has come to an end! What is it exactly that this new AI has over the quality writers?
I am a writer myself and I lost my long term client recently. She was a lady and she used to get writing projects from a company. The company told her that she is submitting AI written articles while she didn't do that!
So, what should I think of this AI? Is it really a plus or just a threat to the writers and developers trying to make earning with from fields like writing and marketing?
Feel free to share your views and let me know what to do in this regard.

but there are many clients who prefer handwritten content and not the content generated with any AI!

That's the bad part of it from one perspective.

If you switch angles there are tremendous opportunities, you just need to work with AI in creative ways to bring some value to the table.

Think about ways to pivot, on how to use AI in your advantage.

As any business probably the company has a mix of users, so those willing to switch ways did it, thus the drop in sales.

The owner should focus on acquiring more of the clients who are willing to only work with hand-written content, but this means spending some good money on marketing, and also competition will be lots bigger.

As I've mentioned before I've recently got rid of all my article writers and I'm saving $4.5k per month.

I was reading this discussion last night and it's absolutely wild, imagine the whole of your life's work and academic career becoming null and void overnight!

Well i think its an advantage for content creators but a threat for writers .This its life and things like this hapens and people and business needs to adapt
