Charity Idea: Empowering Physically Disabled People with IM?

Hey guys,

When I was 17 or so, I was diagnosed with a pretty shitty chronic spinal issue that closed a lot of doors for me work wise and prevented me from pursuing traditional work, and to an extent, schooling.

Thankfully my problem didn't get nearly as bad as others with spinal stenosis, plus things worked out jusssst perfectly and I fell into internet marketing, which then worked out really well for me.

But, for a lot of people, especially older folks, this isn't the case and they quickly end up broke because they are unable to perform at their physical labor job or come in consistently to work.

The cool thing about internet marketing and internet based businesses is that they mitigate traditional problems that prevent the physically disabled, especially those whose problems flare up a lot, from working normal jobs.

So...what if we come up with an exhaustive course that teaches these people how to earn an income online in a way that works around their disabilities?

For example, a self employed plumber in his mid 40s might have had to quit his job due to it causing his physical disability to worsen. He has to take expensive painkillers in order to manage his condition, which makes it difficult for him to focus. This in turn would make retraining for a different job very difficult.

The course would show him how to say...create a money site about plumbing (something he's knowledgable about!!!) and start earning income again. That's just an example off the top of my head and I'm sure there are better ideas we can come up with, but I'm sure you guys get the idea.

What do you guys think?

We could also sell the course to people that aren't disabled and then use those funds to fund the charity and hire staff that could walk the older people through using IM like a consultant would but for free. That would be further down the road though.

I can get my lawyer started on setting up a 501 3c ASAP if there is enough interest and that way contributors would have more incentive and we could make sure everything is done correctly too. Plus it makes it easier to get support from sponsors.

I personally think that this is great and really noble idea.You can probably expand things beyond a simple e-course by creating something like a VA job board for disabled people or something similar to fiverr/peopleperhour where people with disabilities can sell gigs/sercices and a good % of the fees that employers/customers pay can go to a charity of their choice.

For someone to actually be successful in IM its going to take more than 1 course. Maybe a year or 2 before they really start earning and most people today wont be up for the task.

That is a very good idea and asap1 is correct; one course is rarely the way to empower someone in our industry. You should be lauded and applauded for thinking about taking this on.

I do something very similar in that I work with people that are educationally challenged and help them get G.E.D.s as well as share how to build a revenue stream online in the process for those that want to change their lives economically as well. Many of those I work with there are in bad economic situations and come from families that have a variety of challenges that are not typical.

It takes some real hands on effort to get those that have little to no idea of the IM concepts that we have engulfed ourselves in and a lot of patience as well.

Hands on mentoring increases the success rate exponentially and you may want to find a way to offer that in your endeavor. I don't do that for payment, it is a volunteer/charity thing as I see it as a way to help my little corner of the world (as you are seeing) and think it important to {pay it forward|give back|share}.

You'll need some serious patience if you offer the hands on but the reward in seeing people successful will be worth the loss of hair and the bottles of Excedrin.

Good point asap1 but maybe this could be looked at from another perspective. Sure not everyone is cut out to become an internet entrepreneur and generating a full time income from IM in a first world country can be really tough but imo you dont have to be an IM expert to make money from your home.
Take some of the widely successful Fiverr sellers for example most of them have no clue about IM. A novice internet user can also make money from selling content/reselling services/doing micro jobs or working for someone as a virtual assistant. Maybe the course can include more information on those basics instead of what most of us here are used to and slowly expand.Its not much but im sure many people especially those with disabilities can use every dollar that comes their way.

From a conversion standpoint I like the idea.

Get some dude in a wheel chair, some fake screenshots of $1,000 daily earnings on CB, some pity story about how he fell off a ladder 1 day fixing his gutters ... broke his neck.... went through years of depression and suicidal ideation ... feeling lost and confused... wound up homeless then in a mental hospital til he found IM and now he's got a mansion (rent one) a lambo (rent) and a smoking hot wife (escort). Then you can have him and the escort have a tear jerking conversation in the video.

Like, "After I got rich my wife married and accepted me for who I was. She KNEW I had no sensation in my penis or ability to get erect. But she still stayed with me. Then 2 years after I was banking hard I woke up a hard boner! My first boner in years! I was able to have an erection and for the first time ever.... I had sex with this beautiful woman I call my wife (make them both cry at this point).... and now..... now (more tears) I'm starting to gain sensation in my feet!!! Who knows where I may be another year from now?! I MIGHT BE WALKING, FUCKING AND DRIVING A LAMBO? ALL THANKS TO IM??!!!!!!!!!!" Then BAM, show the screenshot again and more pictures of the mansion.

Hell, I'll play the guy in the wheel chair for 50/50 split. I'll even pay for the escort myself but she's gonna have to earn her money off video.

We can offer them a cheap $17, 1 hour loss lead VSL "course" that is 98% fluff and doesn't teach them shit. But once we get the emotional hooks sunk in deep we upsell them a comprehensive $2000 mastery course for the handicapped. Hell, if we can get Stephen Hawkings to endorse the product we'll be millionaires.

Talked to my lawyer about everything earlier today, well yesterday since its 1:20AM here now, anyways...

Will likely submit the paperwork for the 501 in a week or two when my lawyer and I both have free time.

I have to figure out how much time I can reasonably put into this because I work 70 - 100 hours a week right now.
