Hey guys,
Can someone please help me with a google maps question.
How can i get edits on the maps to be approved.
Lets say i want to change a website or phone number. Sugest an edit doesnt really work.. do i need to be a high level local guide? Usually the suggested edit is denied straight away. Do i need to find shitty listing to change?
If someone can point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it
Thanks

I would like to know this too! I tried to add a website and the link becomes orange, saying something like "an user suggest this website", then other people can say yes or no to this change. Not sure how many people needs to approve the edit to become permanent.

The First Thing - Google Knows Everything.
Me & You both know why you want to change the Phone Number and Website.
In starting maybe you got success for 1 or 2 listings but after that your edit will not approve.
Here is The Solution - Make many accounts from unique IP's and get at least 7 level for local guides. Set your location for every account from where you want to change listings. Try to change 1 listing from 1 account and from other accounts go to facts and you will see that listing in the list to approve or reject. Approve the changes from all other accounts and wait.
If you got success then don't try same on 2nd listing immediately. wait at least 7 days and then try same procedure with another id.

That seems like a lot of work! How many accounts are many? Must be a way to automate the level update process. Plus we need to create different accounts per location.

So you think you can change someone else page details without any problem & google update it without confirmation. LOL

I agree with ss1180, Google although they can be spammed they are still not that stupid. Question is how different do the ips need to be? if you change your location does that satisfy the process or do you actually need real different ips?
Do you have experience with this? Also if your account has been flagged once for abusing the map, does it mean the whole local guide is gone? And that the trust level goes down?

That would be nice actually. :D What I'm saying is a matter of cost/benefit, if I need 3 gmail accounts is not the same as 20 level7 local guide accounts that I can use in only one location at a time and takes time to grow. Any insights on how many?
