Has anyone noticed any difference in campaign delivery after changing the ad account timezone? I recently changed the timezone on an active campaign and the spend pattern looked different afterward. Not sure if it was related or just a coincidence.

Curious if anyone has tested this or tracked the impact properly.

Time zone differences can make an impact on the reporting window rather than on the delivery itself, in particular, if the campaign uses hourly data for its execution with automatic rules applied. The best way to measure the effectiveness would be to look at several days before and after the change of spending.

honestly i changed the timezone once and i didn't notice any major difference and also i think other things like audience or competition usually have a bigger impact on this.

Different time zones can sometimes affect the collection of advertising data. try to adjust the time zone settings properly before launching the ads.

This makes it easier to adjust campaign timing in the target country. There might be a brief period where you feel the campaign is effective after a time zone change, but more data is needed to determine if this is genuine activity or just normal fluctuation.

definitely not a coincidence man. changing the timezone messes with the daily budget reset time and throws off the algorithm

yep it can affect how daily spend looks and just compare a few days before and after to see if it’s actually making a difference.

Avoid changing the timezone on active ad accounts. It can shift spend patterns and reporting. If changed already, just monitor the data and don’t make multiple changes at once.

It has come to my notice that a timezone chang impacts the reporting period but not the performance. If the timezone change becomes necessary during the campaign period, I would suggest giving a little more time before changing the timezone.

i have noticed it that spend patterns can change after a timezone change and especially around daily budget resets but it could also be normal delivery variation and also be interesting to see data from a controlled test.

Changing timezones during active campaigns triggers account reporting delays and can cause ad sets to temporarily re enter learning or review phases. It's usually safer to adjust the ad scheduling or duplicate the campaign into a new ad account set to the target timezone.
