yes it will affect, you should make 301 forwardings from your old pages to new pages and in a few months it will be good again.

Before you make 301 redirect, get verified for both domains on webmaster tools. Then follow these steps:

I did it two times. First time I did not lose a single rank and second time I got my rankings higher lol.
Just 301 redirect all urls, and install Redirection plugin and check 404 visits all the time. You will be able to add 301 redirections from that plugin for dead links.
Just don't make any large changes except the domain. Keep the design the same etc.

Eeeeh.....lets see what happens as the rankings are good, but I have no other choise right now. Yeah all the data under the domain will stay the same. The only big changes will be the hosting provider and the domain name change.

Regex redirecting is a lifesaver if you have to redirect thousands of pages to a new domain or a new URL structure. Yoast SEO have a great tool for this. But you definitely need to improve your regular expressions knowledge before trying and breaking anything. That's for sure.

Absolutely will affect rankings - make sure you do a full 301 redirect to cover your ass

If you do it right you can achieve minimal impact. 301 everything, request site move on search console, make sure htaccess and canonicals are correct for the new domain.

I am unable to verify the new domain with google webmaster tools, since I can't access the cpanel of the new domain, because the nameservers are not changed. Is it okay to change the nameservers before the 301 redirects are done or how should I verify the new domain?
