Changed to a US Sim card and got shadowbanned, how long will this last?

i'm a newbie asian dropshipper trying to target US audience in tiktok. I've tried using VPN only and although my videos get into the US audience, my views are only at 200+ views, it's like tiktok knows I'm using a VPN and is punishing me for it. I changed to a US sim card but when I downloaded tiktok, it kept saying 'something is wrong' or 'your network is unstable. basically, it won't let me use the app at all. I'm not sure if that's a shadowban per se, I just want to know if I can wait this out or if the US sim card is totally useless and won't get me to anything. if someone has thoughts abt this or experienced the same thing, pls help me out. thanks

Shadow bans can last for days up to a week. Shouldn't go over that, but if it does, you're outta luck. Might have to cut your losses on that.
 
Your best bet is to freshen up , new ip , new account , slow start
 
Make sure to do a factory reset and use your local home WiFi when working with a sim. Set up language and timezone to English and US. That should work :)

does a factory reset delete all apps? I'm using android btw
 
It is possible that TikTok is detecting your VPN and limiting your reach. Using a US IM card is not enough; your IP address might be licking.
 
yep, that's what i thought of too. so having a US sim card plus also using VPN won't be enough?

i just did factory reset on my phone but it still won't let me use tiktok properly tho :// I'm wondering if i can wait this out or it really won't budge

If an account is shadowbanned, I create a new account and work on it instead. I check in on shadowbanned accounts every few days to see if numbers change. Sometimes they do, but sometimes they don't. I had one account spring to life after a 3 month shadowban, and I have another account thats still shadowbanned after 6 months. All very similar content and similar posting schedule.

The gods are fickle.

Is this still relevant?
How come tiktok let's you use your country IP and US phone number and doesn't shadow ban?
If I were Tiktok, I would find it suspicious. I would assume US sim card should be used in the US.
