I just bought a new domain that had just expired. I have already updated the name change on my hosting account and I have successfully setup a 301 redirect from the old domain.
I have also added the new domain on my Webmaster account and completed a request for name change. I got a message saying:
"We have received a notice of change of address for your website xxxxxxx Previous domain: xxxxxxx
New domain: xxxxxxx"
But I can still see both the new and the old domain registered on my webmaster account as separate websites.
Should I delete the old domain from my account? Is the process done? Or is there anything else I need to do to assure that my website rankings will move over to the new domain?
